No way!

But a measured 'time out' to repent for the purpose of being reconciled to their Creator. Absolutely!
Here's how I see that working.

Anyone who has knees to bow and a tongue to speak, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (in the realm of the dead), will whole-heartedly, and without reservation, acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord. No one can say that “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved. Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. (the reason for the bodily resurrection) Scriptural support below.

Philippians 2:10-11
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

1 Corinthians 12:3
Therefore I want you to know that no one who is
speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,”
and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 14:9
For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that
he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Note on "acknowledge" in Philippians 2:11 from Strong's Concordance
S1843 eksomologéō (from 1537 /ek, "wholly out from," intensifying 3670 /homologéō, "say the same thing about") – properly, fully agree and to acknowledge that agreement openly (whole-heartedly); hence, to confess ("openly declare"), without reservation (no holding back).

Here's a question:
What do the three biblical doctrines of the final judgement say about the character of God?
1) Damnationism (eternal conscious torment)
2) Annihilationism (complete destruction)
3) Christian Universalism (Ultimate Redemption/UR)

1) I'm in this camp because that seems to be what the text says.. But it also talks about refining in the fire, soo...who knows if they cook in the lake of fire long enough will they eventually be purified enough to come out? Prolly not.
2) That's a nutso doctrine.
3) That's almost as nutsi as #2 but I'm not 100% positive because it says something about ...and I have not lost even one that you gave me...or something like that.

What these 3 doctrine say collectively about the character of God is...That His ways are above our ways so we have trouble comprehending it.

Bonus question:
- Did Jesus die to save us from God?

Yes He sure did. Because the last god standing...is already God! God will destroy all of the evil and all of the evil people.

God's reasoning that the wicked will die.

Ezekiel 18:21-23 - “But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22 None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

The righteous will not die?

What kind of death are we talking about here?
Read the underlined bit again.

Physical, or spiritual death?

If spiritual; in this life or the afterlife?

Where is "under the earth"? (the realm of the dead = Sheol) Scripture below.
Who is there? (the dead)
How many will "acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord"? (every tongue)

Philippians 2:10-11
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,

God spoke through the prophet Ezekiel, so it's God's word; only God can answer your question.

The purpose of this topical thread is to discuss where the Bible came from.
I keep encountering forum members that seem to have no clue, or at least some misconceptions
about the origins, history, issues and substance of the scriptures.

I invite others to share their knowledge on the subject. The link below is the best thing I have read on the subject.
I plan to post a few quotes from it. Please offer your own. Thanks.

Who held torah and from whence did it come . YET was GOD well pleased with many
even though they held the torah . NOPE .
From whence came the bible . Inspired of GOD torah was
and later the apostels left us letters and some gospels too .
It aint their fault the RCC came about and though
it did hold the scrips , didnt live by them or teach the whole word of that counsle .
as with the jew so too with the RCC . the leaders sold out and though they still had torah
and though the RCC still had the bible , HECK they didnt heed it . they taught rather doctrines of men
and decieved those who sat under them . THANKS for bringing this topic up steven . ITS A GOOD one to talk about .
