If there are any metal fans or punkrock fans or rockabilly fans on here I'd like to hear from you!I'm trying to find some good Christian bands to listen to. If possible I'd like to kind of mirror some metal bands such as, FearFactory, Hatebreed, stuff like that.

Namely Impending Doom and With Blood Comes Cleansing. Those guys might be heretics; I'll leave that for you to decide. Asterix by the bands which I personally enjoy quite a bit. Don't care too much for the others. I haven't really listened to Fearfactory or Hatebreed, but If I had to guess, I'd say you might enjoy August Burns Red, Becoming The Archetype, xdeathstarx, The Great Commission, Sleeping Giant and War of Ages the most. Your best bet is to hit these guys up on myspace because they wouldn't be too horribly big on things like limewire. If you're curious about the stand-out songs of the bands above, shoot me a message. Hope this was helpful.-Mike

Slayer is a Satanic band. They sing about God in blasphemies and glorify evil. The title of "God Hates Us All" should ring a huge bell and set off alarms. Don't listen to slayer no matter how good their music sounds.

They switched from praise to secular. I never liked that type of metal anyway.

Maybe so but the initial idea was good anyway, i think that its a common thing for some christian bands to stray from the word. Im just saying though the idea of a band who stands for jesus is a wonderfull concept. If they choose to abandon there faith thats not my fault i can only pray for them.

I know this is an old thread but wanted to comment anyway. Alot of good bands were already mentioned, but I thought I'd say look into Living Sacrifice, or Soul Embraced. I really like those bands, as well as As I Lay Dying. The Showdown are awesome as well. Every cd they've put out so far has been in a different style of metal. I also like Red alot... they are strangely heavy yet musically beautiful at the same time. Really cool stuff. If you really like the super heavy metalcore type stuff War of Ages is an awesome band as well. In fact I love War of Ages. Great music to get you into that wage war against the devil kind of mood lol. It's great to work out to as well. These bands are hard to come by at a secular music store so your best bet is to order online or at a christian based store like Family Christian Stores, Lifeway, or Mardell. As far as punk/rockabilly and the like, I don't personally know of any christian bands like that. I wish I could find a christian band that sounded pretty similar to Social Distortion.
Feel free to call me Tony :)

It used to be that punk rock musicians would wear razor blades in their faces...
John 3.16 is a great verse, full of the Gospel.

You guys need to read the Bible every day! It's a real blessing.
