Christianity Board Information

Personal Statement of Faith:
I believe what the bible says, not what a man made doctrine says about God, Christ, and all things in the bible. I trust the Lord above man. I've only been a christian a few short years of my adult life, after once practicing Nordic Shamanism. It was literally an overnight change. One night I was basically practicing witchcraft , the next day I asked Jesus to save me. I'm a man and man has fallen, so I don't pretend to be sin free. I've made many mistakes... but I know the Lord is there for me, always has been, and always will be... otherwise I'd be in deep deep trouble. Praise God.

6stringedsignseeker  I am very disheartened, saddened, and some other feeling I can't describe about how fellow christians can treat one another. WE should be ashamed.

Hey Tony, it's been a very busy day. Had to work til 12, then came home to do the bulletin for tomorrow and change the reader board. And I have just finished mowing the yard. Now it's time to get a shower, as at 7 we are going to the "Paris Opry" which is a benefit for a local pregnancy center (Tomorrow's Hope).

I too am disappointed at the direction this fray went. I was hoping for it to last until the enemy was routed by Holy Spirit conviction, or the worst case, an all-out demonic display of selfishness that would make all offenders leave from being exposed to the light of God. As it is, democracy won out, and the american experiment lives in the "Church" still. fivesense

Some of that old school stuff is great. I want to do a rockin cover of How Great Thou Art lol. Every time I hear it, it seems like it's begging to be be rocked out! And there's something about the sound of a 12 string guitar. I've never owned one. But I'd like to pick one up someday.

Your right, your right... the daughter has the soundtracks from Fellowhip of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean and I think that stuff is excellent. It just take someone else to turn it on for me. I do twelve-string and know quite a few worship songs, mostly old school. But they work to put the soul right with God for communion.

I got hung up on CMT some years ago, and I always enjoyed his videos, with his foot side tapping to his songs, and never being able to see his eyes 'cause his lid was always in the way. Kinda lost interest in most music, getting focused on the Word. Keeps me outta trouble.

I appreciate your conviction about the Word of God. I also appreciate the renegade attitude of trusting only in Him. You are in for some fine times of growth and knowledge in Christ, I can tell.
