What did Jesus really say to Nicodemus ? Bible translations will tell you he said you must be Born Again. This is a misinterpreted verse. With Nicodemus reply one would think it to mean Born Again.
Jesus never used the word AGAIN. The manuscripts are clear on this he used the word ANOTHEN
Strong G509 ANOTHEN Includes from above, or from the first. Thayer anothen Used of things that come from heaven [from God], or from a higher [upper] place, or from the very first, or from the origin.
When you read with understanding you can clearly see we were all with the Father before being placed in these flesh bodies. Every last soul must pass through this Earth Age to be worthy of eternal life.
Genesis tells us of Satan's attempt to...
Hi, I was wondering if anyone actually understood what this "new perspective" is, and if they could break it down for me. I've heard of it, and tried to do some research on it, but all I've managed to find are either to vague to help me get a handle on it, or so long-winded high theology lectures that I have no real hope "getting" what they're saying. And yet it seems to me like it could be a big deal, so I'd like to have a notion of what it's all about.
I often hear preachers commanding angels to do this and that, but it just doesn't sit well with my spirit. They invariably quote Hebrews 1:14 "Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?"
However, I don't see any other reference to instructing angels in the New Testament.
Surely, the angels are a mechanism that God uses to help, guide and sometimes delivery us, thank you Jesus. But isn't the way that God helps us up to him? I don't see that the scripture in Hebrews 1:14 is strong enough for us to start ordering angels around?
What's your opinion?
This Thread is try to determine, weather or not God and or Savior, can and will Reveal to any one person, the fullness of THE GOSPEL by Revelation.
The Scriptures are full of many such doings, The First book in the Scriptures is Genesis! How did Moses write about Creation, a Prince of Egypt with no background in Hebrew Teaching? OK let us take this thought a little further, AFTER, Moses then there were the Prophets, God would like Mary overshadow these men and or His Spirit would Fall upon them, and would Reveal, His Will, and expect them to take what was revealed to them and Pass it on to the People! Again a Revelation to normal person's, just people, maybe with a heart to do Gods will!!!
Our Pastor after 20 years of service, retired last year. The new Pastor said, baptism is just water. He claimed, he would baptize us 3, 4, or 5 times...as many times as it took to get it right. Is this even biblical.See, I thought we was to place our faith in the Lord. That God would do as He promised. Getting rebaptized so often by the same Pastor, would make one doubt the Pastor whom was baptizing and also doubt God. Too me, it seemed odd, so my wife and I, went to another church. We took it, that the new Pastor was a false prophet. Thank you for a response..
The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember them, and came it not into his mind? So that the Lord could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
I am not even going to attempt to touch on the abomination of desolation. Or the son of prediction which, possibly, Daniel shows us in bodily form. What I do want to touch on is the "abomination" part. Here are a few questions I have. They may be...
Unlearn to learn
Some believers have been so inundated and indoctrinated by the charisma of man, they can't move on in God.
To move on in God they will have to unlearn most of what they know and have been taught as gospel.
Not everything we have been taught is bad, but there comes a time when you are taught only by the HolySpirit.
God has always used man, but man can only take you so far, and sometimes what they have had to say must be overridden by the HolySpirit.
The unlearning process can be one of the hardest things a believer will ever go through.
The thing about understanding is, it can all go on a shelf, good or bad, and what you need for Christian living you can take back in time.
It will not kill you, you may feel like it at...
