is the H/S the voice of God that no one has heard or can hear[Jn 5:37 & 6:46] or 14:17 - imho the H/S was promised to the Apostles only for a very good reason that does not apply to us for a very good reason imho - btw the very ones who proclaim loudest and longest that we should not quench the Holy Spirit are the very ones who have and are quenching the H/S - twinc
Now, as we are entering into the end times, the time is short indeed for believers
to become true believers … by starting to obey Jesus’ commandments!
Please also see my first thread, “Here’s the most critical question for you”
The Holy Spirit, God’s angels, and Satan’s angels (demons) can all speak to us (spiritually),
i.e. they can place thoughts into our minds (but demons cannot read our thoughts).
The Holy Spirit will dwell INSIDE the true (obedient) believer …
but this thread is not really about this point, so I will only list some references:
John 14:15-24, John 15:1-10, Acts 5:32, 2 Cor 13:5, 1 John 3:24, 1 John 4:12-16.
Now, on to the purpose of the thread: Obedience results in the believer...
In two places Jesus said He only came to the lost sheep of Israel (Matt. 10:5-7 and Matt. 15:23-24)
Did Jesus lie? Or is main street Christianity lying?
In the book of James 1.1 it tells us who James is writing to.
Did James lie? Or is main street Christianity lying?
In Paul’s epistles he states that the gospel he is preaching was “HIDDEN IN GOD” and revealed to him, by revelation, and is about God’s grace offered to man; if the man has faith to believe it. Grace excludes the law since it can not be earned. Under grace the law has been satisfied because Jesus atoned for, paid for, all the sins the mankind committed in the past, present, and future. For these the law is no longer in effect since Jesus’ shed blood paid...
My God sits in Heaven upon His throne, He is so vast that no number of books could ever be written to contain His wisdom and Knowledege. My God looks down from heaven upon the earth, and watches man doing all the foolish things He does. But He sits with a big grin on His face because He know that soon it will all end, and everything will be just as He has determined from the beginning of time. My God sent Jesus, He sent Him as a sacrifice for our sins, so that we who do not deserve it will be redeemed back to God. Now Jesus is with all men, there is not one man who walks this earth who does not have Jesus, He speaks to all, just in the hope that one would listen but so few do and so they walk with their backs turned to Him.

Do you not believe Satan exists?

No and yes...
Maybe for another thread.
Are you going to make a thread about it? I have some interesting idea's about satan.
Well, I am listening. Go for it!
It seems to me that we're loosing sight of what a Christian is.
Can anyone that believes in God call themselves a Christian?
Does one have to believe in Jesus?
Are there any specific doctrine one MUST believe in?
Are we supposed to behave in any particular way?
Are we supposed to do anything particular?
What makes a Christian be a Christian?
Let scripture interpret scripture, the Bible interpret the Bible and lean not unto your own understanding because what you know could be wrong and make you look a fool. This good, sound advice can be found in Proverbs.
Proverbs 12:23, The prudent keep their knowledge to themselves, but a fool's heart blurts out folly.
What is prudence? A Christian doesn't deny their faith, the sword comes down, and they are prudent but if they pretend to deny their faith and live, that is prudent too. Being prudent is a virtue, having prudence is understanding.
In the above Proverb, you hide what you know until you know when to reveal it and to blurt out what you know when answering a barrage of questions, it's tune out time for everyone involved....
This may be a really long way around a simple question. The question pertains to:
Revelation 6:9-10 KJV
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
The question is not who they are, under the Altar. That is made clear. It is their cry that causes me to stumble, seeming to be a contradiction. I am NOT saying I have a problem with vengeance being The LORDS. I am saying: I want to know Him, and this is an area that causes...
Now there is a Same Sex Marriage Postal vote about to take place in Australia, I will be voting no, as I view the normal family as daddy, mommy and me the child, and that's the way God created it to be. It's looking likely to pass though as law that SSM probably will be legalized, as that's what the majority of Australia looks like they want.
Our Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is a Christian, but is strongly supporting the Yes vote, he said "The sky won't fall if the law is changed." Well i think he could be in for a shock looking at the crazy events happening on the other side of the world at the moment, with the hurricanes, flooding, metres of rain in a few days.
If you are in Australia, what will you be voting for & why? And for...
