1Peter 2:24 and Isaiah 53:5 proclaim this truth. None of the surrounding verses even hint that this healing is physical, mental or emotional healing.
Wouldn't this healing be spiritual? Reconciliation with God? Peace with God?
So, why do the faith healers use these verses to "prove" they have the spiritual gift of healing?
In our Theology, the Study of the Godhead, are we correct in our beliefs and doctrine on the subject. there are many doctrines in the world, but are all correct? there are some doctrines, to some people, that are supposed to be the foundation pillars of their beliefs, and that’s Good, but are these beliefs in line, and upon line with the bible.
Just think for a second, in the back of our minds, do we really have total faith in our God “GIVEN” or man given doctoral beliefs that we stand on, or (sometimes on the middle of the fence). the bible states, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good”. (1 Thessalonians 5:21). And 1 Corinthians 1:10 "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the...
Have you ever wondered why Jesus changed water into wine as His first miracle?
When you think of it, the majority of the people at the wedding didn’t even know he did it. The servants knew and perhaps His disciples did, but certainly the festive crowd didn’t. So what was the reason for that? Why not heel 10 lepers? That would have been spectacular. Or, what about delivering a demonized individual? That could have been more sensational. Better still, Jesus could have raised a dead person. Now that’s what I call dramatic.
Nope, Jesus changed water into wine. Hmm! Is there maybe more to that than meets the eye. Let’s have a look.
When the wine ran out, Jesus told the servant to fill 6 waterpots with water. We are told that these pots...
Questions concerning the Kingdom of God
I have not studied theology. When I read scripture, it seems to speak things multidimensional, things I do not quite understand. I would like to trust it is the spirit teaching, but since I am unsure, I would like to test those things through others who have studied theology and have put in the time dividing the Word of God. Warning: this could be completely wrong and may not align with scripture. Is David a type for God the Father? Is Solomon a type for Jesus Christ, the son—the dead and, now the living child?
1) David has more than any other in scripture.
2) Jesus Christ takes David’s throne.
2) Solomon builds His fathers house and his house. In addition, Solomon builds it out...
Seems there is a lot of confusion over what we are here for.
I asked whats it look like to walk like Jesus and there was a lot of shyness about that question. I would think this would be the same.
What do you spend all your time on and what do you think you are supposed to be spending your time on?
What is Truth?
The pit of my stomach is sour from all the hypocrisy and false doctrines circulating. I can take disappointment. I can take rejection. I can take the approach of death(sleep) of this physical body. None of it causes me to blame God. But if I have one quarrel with God, and I have quarreled with Him over it… it would be that there are countless interpretations of His word, yet God promised the church the Spirit of Truth? I come here to this blog, which is a fish bowl compared to the vastness of the world, and everyone has a different truth including myself. Any unbeliever would surely come here and be overwhelmed by countless variations of the gospel and assured by each one of us…I know God and have the truth....
I know that others must have preached on this in the past, but it seems as though very few have ever taken the time to study the context of Jesus' words "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Many people think they have been set free, but continue to live in sin, Jesus stated "whoever sins is a servant to sin", do people care at all about what Jesus teaches, or are they just interested in using the bible and Jesus to live in a state of delusion, while they amass sin upon sin: with no turning from them? What say you?
It has been asserted by Einstein that he blundered when he was trying to describe the universe as static and always existing but, the truth here is stranger than fiction.
Science has tried to establish a rationale for our existence that would eliminate the need for a creator and each of the various religious sects have tried to rationalize how their creator performed the act of creation.
Oddly enough we live in a time where science and Christianity both seem to agree on the creation of everything as an essential big bang which caused space and time and matter to come into existence from virtual nothingness but, suppose Einstein was not wrong with his first assumption and the universe is a statically existing reality.
A good logical...
This study goes over the events related to the second coming in correlation to the Jewish festivals and old testament prophecies, going from the time of the opening of the sixth seal, to the time of the trumpet blasts of the seventh seal, and to the future time of the new heaven and new earth. The study can be found in English here The Second Coming, the Trumpet Blasts, the Bowls of Wrath, and Inheriting the Earth | Wisdom of God or in Spanish here La Segunda Venida, las Trompetas, las...
