16 And other sheep “””I have””” which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.
It is a common belief that the other sheep are those that are saved under grace; today’s gospel. But the scripture does not support this idea. The words “I HAVE” are present tense, not future tense; In other words he has them already.
So who are they? They are all the men and women before Abraham and the nation of Israel that God had because of their belief in Him. Men like Job, Jonah, Noah, the people of Nineveh that repented etc.
I know that the theology of the religious churches today do not want this to be true and this...
As a young person and belonging to the Catholic Faith I am wondering ?
If this was from the church or just some one told me this ?
The person who dies, come's back to earth , in another body and does not
know this........ and we just keep doing it over and over.......
Had any one ever heard of this.......
It just pops in my head once in a while and I just do not know were it came from!
I was even wondering if the nuns told us this ? I heard funny things from them...
Of Course I am now a Christian and believe my faith ! And GOD's word.
but I just wonder if it was in my time and before me some foolish things
that man just does and say's.......... ? Thank...
This should be a good topic to introduce as it should be of interest to all Christians.
The messenger brings the word from the authority, to the person.
Who’s interpretation is true?
the boy's interpretation is true, as long as there is no authority present to supersede his decision, isn’t it? Surly the fulfillment was according to boy and out the context and the spirit of the message that was sent. This seems to be the case in today’s society. To go by one’s own judgement and not according the authority who sent the word, and disregard for the judgement thereof, of which the messenger found abhorring.
that and I busted out laughing when I read it
The word Hell is used a lot here it seems…so I thought it may be interesting to chat about it.
I am sure we have many different takes on it between us all.
I’ll kick it of with this.....
Those of us who have done a lot of witnessing , outreach , and trying to share our faith with unbelievers know that we are often confronted with many questions, especially on the subject of Hell and eternal punishment. We’ve been there, done that haven’t we.
We have found that many people have a real problem with Orthodox Christianity's belief that non-Christians will be punished eternally because they are not Christians.
We have found that this is one of the main reasons many Christians do NOT enjoy sharing their faith with the...
I've written out a study outlining the possible year of the second coming of Christ, based on the jubilee year cycles that occur every 50 years as mandated by the Torah, the 1290 years of Daniel, and then the 1335 years of Daniel which come after, which expires around 2027 AD. The appointed times in the book of Daniel accurately predicted the first coming of Jesus 490 years after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem around 457 BC, so knowing the approximate year of the return of the Lord is related to understanding these appointed times in Daniel and in the Law of God. The study can be found here in English...
