"We love because he first loved us."
Whenever I think about our relationship with God, the idea of marriage comes to mind. Ever since after the man"s fall, God has tried to restore the relationship he had with his most prized creation in the garden of Eden. To this end, He created a people of his own, and through this people He sent the Savior of the world.
But just as everyone chose to reject God, they also chose to reject Jesus. God has done everything to show that His love to us. How will we respond? What would God have to do in order to make people realize what He has done?
Because it is impossible to rise to God's standards, He lowered Himself to us and showed us how "a more excellent way". In fact, love is what God was calling everyone to, but everyone was caught up in the "don'ts", forgetting about the "do's", and when Jesus came, He showed us what to do. Not only did He tell us about God's love, but He also demonstrated it to us, caring about those around Him, going from place to place so that He would meet the needs of others, giving them the choice to follow Him.
Those who chose to follow Him saw the love of God that never gives up and always pursues the enstranged from the relationship, and if others are still going to be attracted in the relationship with Him, it will be because they SEE the love of God in others. If at first others saw the love of God in Jesus, today they will see the love of God in those who say that belong to Jesus. The question is, are they willing to be used in such a way by God so He can bring them back in the relationship with Him?
Let us be the ones to show that we love Him because He loved us and love others the way He loved us.
