The Path of Life

  1. Something to consider...are we awaiting “a murderer”or Mercy?

Something to consider. Not saying it is right but only something myself struggle with. The other day I was in the store and started a conversation with a lady nearby. She couldn’t walk and was riding a handicap buggy, struggling to reach items on a higher shelf. As the conversation progressed, I hesitated to mention God in not wanting to overwhelm her with forced witnessing. She confided how her husband had taken everything they had, even the car. How she had to move back in with her...
  2. The Law of Righteousness:

The Law of righteousness. I’ve been meditating on the “righteousness” there. There is only One righteous and good that One being God. Romans 3:10-12 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: [11] There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. [12] They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. The “unprofitable” there is the flesh which cannot seek God and cannot hear God but remains...
  3. “This is the Work of God...”

John 6:29 [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. “This is the work of God, that you believe on him whom he has sent.” A lot of discussion on “work” never coming to any agreement. All I can share is my own experience and it is this ...the work of God that you believe is ongoing and goes deep is anchored. It doesn’t appear to be an instant “believe” but a full work to completion of “...that you believe on him whom he has...
  4. Powerful in deed...

2 Corinthians 10:7-13 [7] Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. [8] For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: [9] That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. [10] For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful;...
  5. How can God create out of Nothing?

How can God create all things out of Nothing? Sometimes I read atheists arguments concerning God. It is not like I go looking for the arguments but sometimes in research their POV comes up. One recently was a book on how others viewed the disciples of Jesus from the outside. They debated if they were just trouble makers. I’m not real knowledgeable with science or history but one thing did stand out which is the argument of: how can anyone be expected to believe God can create all things out...

  7. You Got to Walk That Lonesome Valley

You got to walk that lonesome valley Well, you got to walk it for yourself Ain't nobody else can walk it for you You got to walk that valley for yourself My mother had to walk that lonesome valley Well, she had to walk it for herself Yes, nobody else could walk it for her Yeah, she had to walk that valley for herself Oh yes, you got to walk that lonesome valley Well, you got to walk it for yourself Yes, nobody else can walk it for you You got to walk... My father had to walk that...
  8. 4 Years Married

I feel very blessed June 13th will be 4 years married to a wonderful husband and father. I love this man. He is a turd, but still. Love of my life. My aunt Cheryl passed. She was my matron of honor in the picture. Special woman, but so blessed she was there.
  9. Strange Invitation

An instrumental version of Jackass. I've been drifting along in the same stale shoes Loose ends tyin' a noose in the back of my mind If you thought that you were making your way To where the 'postles and pagans lay Put it together, it's a strange invitation When I wake up, someone will sweep up my lazy bones And we will rise in the cool of the evening I remember the way that you smiled When the gravity shackles were wild But something is vacant when I think it's all beginning...

  11. What will you do?

What will you do if those that mean evil against you; come and bow down before you for mercy? What will you do if those who mock and mean you harm...come and bow down before you? What will you do if those that laugh and ridicule you saying “we will never bow at your feet”... later proved wrong and ashamed come and bow at your feet for mercy? What would Jesus do? Genesis 50:15-21 [15] And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate...
  12. The Rapture

They (His children) are not appointed to God’s wrath. True. To be honest I have no idea what the day of judgement looks like. We are told the day of Judgement reveals what manner of work it is of. Whether the work be of God. Or whether the work be of man which turns to ash. God promise beauty for ashes. Not beauty by the worlds definition of beauty. Anyone that says God wants to remove us from the fire has not took into consideration that instead of removing us from the fire ...maybe God’s...
  13. “Lord, teach us to pray”

Maybe we have it memorized but how often do we pay attention to the words that we speak? Luke 11:1-4 “And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. [2] And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. [3] Give us day by day our daily bread. [4] And forgive...
  14. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” That is what we desire, right? For the devil to be far from us. But, please, keep in mind (Romans 8:28) which says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” I can’t speak for anyone else but, a lot of the time, if not most of the time...it is my own pride that is being worked on. My own need and desires to be more than God has planned for me to be....
