Matthew 6:24,25 - "No man can serve two masters...take no thought."
When thinking about the pressures of life that are bearing down on you -- you cannot serve those pressures and also the Word of God at the same time.
We serve our thoughts -- Isaiah 55 tells us to forsake our thoughts and by the Word take God's thoughts -- 2 Corinthians 10:5 says to cast out thoughts that challenge the Word and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. In other words, make your thoughts obey the Word.
Circumstances don't have to change before you can change your thoughts. In fact, the circumstances may not ever change until your thoughts are switched from wrong to right thinking.
