Message: "At about the same time, the disciples came to Jesus asking, “Who gets the highest rank in God’s kingdom?” For an answer Jesus called over a child, whom he stood in the middle of the room, and said, “I’m telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you’re not even going to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in. Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God’s kingdom. What’s more, when you receive the childlike on my account, it’s the same as receiving me.

-Reading The Message Bible, I have felt like when I was a child, falling in love with Jesus all over again. Every time I read the Bible I just love reading it, because of the simple language. I have had several aha moments I just havent had in a few years. I miss those days where I didn't overthink the Bible and just read it for no other reason, but because I loved God and His Word. Don't get me wrong. It is important to study God's Word and know it. But this small passage here speaks to me in the importance of just simply trusting God and doing what the Bible says to the best of my ability. The Gospel and Great Commission wasn't meant to be hard. We are just called to trust, tell others, and live for Jesus. And I do that. There are areas I want to change in order to have more child like faith. I can study subjects and not let them consume me. Sometimes I do need to go back to a subject, but I need to stop and just pray when I start feeling frustrated or not know what to do. God knows the answers.


I thank God for this study. I think it has put me back on the right track spiritually. It is easy to drift when you have kids and get ]
