Read: John 11:1-44

“You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?” When Jesus saw her sobbing and the Jews with her sobbing, a deep anger welled up within him. He said, “Where did you put him?” “Master, come and see,” they said. Now Jesus wept. The Jews said, “Look how deeply he loved him.” Others among them said, “Well, if he loved him so much, why didn’t he do something to keep him from dying? After all, he opened the eyes of a blind man.” Then he shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” And he came out, a cadaver, wrapped from head to toe, and with a kerchief over his face. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him loose.”

Thoughts: One thing in the passage I didn't copy...Christ risked His life coming back to raise Lazarus from the dead. He trusted His Father. Jesus did this often, so ever so often, I think I should be able to risk my life for His. In the days how it is, I just might. I believe I am strong enough in faith to do that...no matter the cost. I love God with all of my heart. And I just adore the Message. Thomas said, "we might as well go die with Him" LOL. I am definitely Thomas. I hope one day not to be. I really like Peter more. But I am more in willing to sacrifice myself, just not sure if I am going to make it out unscathed part. But the Bible teaches it is possible. It really takes a good deal of speaking life instead of death though. True faith is speaking life and believing life.

Anyhow...I felt God was speaking to me in this passage that He has a plan and reason for everything. Mary was very sad Lazarus was dead for 4 days. She wasn't sure why Christ waited, because she believed he wouldn't have died if He had been there. And she was right. But Christ did it this way, for the glory of God to be seen. Lazarus was raised from the dead. WOW. Only GOD can do this. It fulfilled scripture. It increased the disciples' faith. I can only imagine what Thomas was thinking there. ^_^ Just AMAZING to think about. God is so good.
