Read: James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 1:3-9; 1 Peter 4:12-14

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 1:2‭-‬4 KJV

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

1 Peter 1:3‭-‬9 KJV

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified."

1 Peter 4:12‭-‬14 KJV

Thoughts: Sort of sad verses to explain joy!!!! But true joy is being able to look at a trial or upcoming trial and thank God for it, because He gives His children promises in the Bible of Heaven and rewards. Plus, trials help us grow stronger in endurance and faith. God is glorified. We may be persecuted, but in the end, we really aren't in any danger in Christ Jesus. The moment He died on the cross for us, we were able to partake in the glory of God, and that is just awesome. This is something to rejoice about, because no matter what comes our way, we have a friend with us always, and we will one day be living in the presence of God forever. Our joy will be made complete when our time of life has come to an end.
