What does the bible tells us about being faithful? Matt 25: 14-30 is a story about the faithful and unfaithful servant.

Matt 25: 29 says: For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

This story speaks volumes about how one approaches the things given to us by God. In regards to mammon Luke 16:10 tells us that: “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

So what do these scriptures teach us?

Galatians 5:22 tells us that faithfulness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and fruit need the right environment to grow. Being faithful is an act of obedience. Faithfulness is the fruit (outcome) of that obedience

We need to be faithful with the little things that God has given us whatever it may be. Being faithful should translate in other areas, our relationship with God, our families and friends, the ministires God has opened up for us, our workplace, the way we conduct ourselves with believers and unbelievers.

Faithfulness requires us to be caretakers of the things God has placed in our hands, to nurture it, help it to grow and multiply. This can be translated into any area of our lives, not just money.

There'a an old saying, "integrity is doing the right thing when no-one is watching".

That is how we are supposed to conduct ourseves with the precious things (little or much) given to us by God Glory!
