"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."

Have you ever passed through circumstances that seemed to be more than you could carry, and it seemed that there is no way out--and if at least everything ended with "no way out*, it would have been a best case scenario, but things seemed to get even worse? As I was reading this verse, it reminded me of a long and difficult period of time in my life, when I thought that there would be no way out, but in the end I came to these two conclusions:

1. No temptation has overtaken anyone except what is common to mankind (1 Corinthians 10:13). Everyone passes through similar experiences, but some pass through them all by themselves, while others pass with the help of the Holy Spirit, who guides all who are children of God. And the most important thing to remember when it comes to temptation is that even Jesus was tempted as a man, but he did not sin. Sure, He is the Son of God, but while He was here on earth, He experienced temptation, suffering and even death, proving that He was not just God, but human as well.

2. God is always faithful to His children. The first part of Isaiah 43:2 says just that: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you..."Trials gave their purpose in the lives of those who trust in God, and even though it seems that He is not close, He is always there watching and guarding those who are His. This teaches his children to build even more trust in Him. But as this process takes place, it feels as if the waters are getting deeper and the fire is getting hotter. However, this is only for a while. Then, unexpectedly, you can see the end, and looking back to everything that has happened, you can say that everything makes perfect sense and thank God for the rewards of not giving up.

If you are going through tough circumstances right now, don't forget this promise to you from God. Memorize it, if you had not done so yet, and let it follow you. God is always faithful.
