The Time is at Hand

Although the harvest continues, and will continue do so until the last of the Lord’s elect have made their calling and election sure all evidence suggest that we are closing in on the great climax of this age, the final event of the great time of trouble, the Seventh Plague, Armageddon. The signs are all around us hinting that the time is at hand, everywhere we look we see the Lord’s Great Army mustering its forces from the four corners of the earth in preparation for this great battle to come. Only a blind man could be obvious of these signs.

This is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies says: "Look! Disaster (evil, calamity, discord, trouble) will fall upon nation after nation! A great whirlwind of fury is rising from the most distant corners of the earth!" (Jer 25:32 New Living Translation)

The “four winds of the earth” (Rev 7:1), the winds of strife, long since held in check, that they blow not upon the “earth” organized society, the “sea”, the unrestrained masses of mankind, the poor and discontented, and the “trees” the living ones, those in Christ, are beginning to stir and when they reach their full fury and combine they will compose the “great whirlwind of fury”, and bring about the destruction of the present order. The very fact that we are beginning to see these winds blow means that the Church is nearly complete, the last of the saints sealed and prepared to go beyond the Vail.

And so it is that we witness, “Upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens (the present spiritual powers in control) will be shaken.” (Luke 21:25, 26)

The sea and the waves of the troubled masses of humanity are already beginning to heave, toss and foam. The increasing winds of strife (wars, revolutions, rebellions, and demands for change) are driving the great sea of mankind into a frenzied state of revolt against the present social order.”

Throughout the scriptures the
earthgenerally typifies society, governments, firmly grounded, whereas theseaon the other hand represents the restless masses of mankind restrained only by the bounds or limitations (laws) placed upon them by the shores of the earth (governments), however there is presently an underlying current of rushing waters (nations, multitudes, peoples) boiling just beneath the surface of the earth’s crust ready to burst forth at any time, they are simply buying their time waiting for the opportune moment, for some spark or catalyst which will ignite them to full fury and cause them to break forth.

Woe to the multitudes of many people, which make a noise like the voice of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters; but God shall rebuke them (once they have accomplished His ends)”—Isa 17:12, 13 Nevertheless as we see the storm coming, let us remember the words of the Prophet, "We (the people of God) will not fear though the earth (society) be removed, and though the mountains (kingdoms, governments) be carried into the midst of the sea (the anarchy of the restless masses)." --Psa 46:2

Now in regards to our opening text in regards to, the “ARMIES” “which are in heaven” (the actual heavens beyond the Vail, and the symbolic heavens this side of the Vail, these armies) must not be confused with what sometimes is called “the Lord’s great army.” The former is a spiritual company (Rev 7:5-8; 17:14; 19:14); whether its soldiers are on this side of the “Vail” or the other side (Psa 149:5-9; Rev 19:14) the latter is a heterogeneous mass of malcontents—socialists, communists, anarchists, etc., who unknowingly will be instrumental in the destruction of the old order, so that the new order may be established in its place.

It is evidently NOT the saints who are to constitute the Lord’s great army”, referred to by the prophets, for the overthrow of the kingdoms of this world, nor are the weapons of their warfare sufficient to this end. Their weapons are indeed mighty, as the Apostle says, among those who are influenced by them. Among the true people of God, who diligently apply their hearts unto instruction, his Word is sharper than any two-edged sword, truly `casting down imaginations (human reasoning’s) and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ’ (2 Cor 10:4, 5); but these weapons do not operate upon the world (this is due to the fact that the world has no fear, no reverence for the Word of God, His word carries very little weight with them, to them the Bible is just a book of fables, the beliefs of fools.)

Nor is the army of the saints a `GREAT army,’ but rather it is but a `LITTLE flock,’ as our Lord himself designated it (Compare Luke 12:32; Joel 2:11).”

Who then are with the King of Kings in this conflict?

Those closes to him, his `REGULAR armyare but few—a little flock. Among these his followers, all faithful and true, are not many great, or rich, or mighty, according to the course of this world; but they are all rich in faith—chosen and faithful. (Rev 17:14) But the new and rightful King has an immense army of `IRREGULARSin every kind of uniform (except the white of the `regulars’).

They are known by many names, Republicans, Capitalists, Conservatives, Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, Religionist, Catholics, Protestants, Islamist, Infidels, Communists, Socialists, Anarchists, Nihilists and etc.; all of these fight in the battle of the great day, though ignorant of him whose kingdom they are helping to establish. These are the vultures mentioned in Rev 19:17, 18, 21, (most of whom are simply guided by selfish interest) who battle not for meaningful change, but for plunder (loot, power, control) and who will get their fill in the overturning of earth’s kingdoms; because the time is come for Messiah to take the dominion of earth and to overthrow the oppressors and corrupters of the earth (Rev 19:15; 11:17, 18) preparatory to the establishment of everlasting peace upon the only firm foundation of righteousness and truth.”
