But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

What do you worry about most? A very common aspect for which a lot of people worry is providing for the everyday needs of the family (e.g. bringing home food for the children and being able to take care of the material needs). But how often do we think about providing our loved ones with that which God wants?

Yes, an important way of showing love toward the ones you care about is to provide everything they need. However, I find that a lot of times, asI focus on the material aspect, I become more disconnected from what is happening around me, and I want to take care of me and myself alone, overlooking other things which can be at least just as important. That is, spending more time with my spouse and focusing my attention toward the emotional needs of my loved ones.

Being self-centered is so different from being self-giving, which is what God did for us. He loved us so much that He gave, and this is what is expected of us as well. For this, we have to seek first His kingdom and righteousness. This may take us in a different direction than what the world tells us, but this is the direction in which He wants us to go: toward His kingdom and righteousness. That is where the true riches if this world are
