I am glad and strengthened before God and celebrate my righteousness in Christ Jesus with joy. (Psalm 68:3)

He leads me to lift up a song of praise to His name as I make Him my holy habitation. (Psalm 68:4,5)

God to me is a God of deliverance; blessed be the Lord who daily bears my burdens. (Psalm 68:19,20)

Singing praises to His Name is fitting as he thunders with His mighty voice from His heavenly throne. (Psalm 68:32,33)

Ascribe strength to God, whose glory and power are in His Church. (Psalm 68:34,35)

You, O Lord, are my rock and my fortress, my confidence; by You I have been sustained from my birth. (Psalm 71:3-6)

My praise is continually of You; and with Your glory all day long for You are my strong refuge. (Psalm 71:7,8)

Blessed be the name of the Lord who works miracles; may the whole earth be filled with Your glory. (Psalm 72:18,19)

It is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works and tell of all Your wonders. (Psalm 73:28)

Why pray the Psalm scriptures out loud?

It is hard to think about something other than what you are talking about. Praying out loud the scriptures solves the problem of the wandering mind. -- spoken words speak to the soul and have the power of raising thoughts in the soul. The Psalm scriptures speak of God in the Highest manner which most fully expresses the power and presence of God.

Strong's definition for "meditate" - HAGAH (Greek) - means to imagine. First pray the scripture out loud -- then pray the scripture back to God. This prayer can be the prayer of thanksgiving, supplication, or praying the greatness of God and the benefits of God.

The first thing that you are to do when you are upon your knees, is to shut your eyes, and with a short silence let your soul place itself in the presence of God.

When you direct any of your petitions to Jesus let it be: thou art the radiance of thy Father's glory. Thou art the Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end of all things: Thou has destroyed the power of the devil and hast overcome death.
