I read the comment on a post and it got me to thinking about our Christian faith and how we are used to further other's agendas. Things I believe the Bible clearly states are wrong are used to get votes for the politicians and laws are passed that we as part of the country are forced to live with. I know democracy is for the majority of the people, but Christianity which was the reason this country was settled, is now a minority. Christians no longer have "rights". Our constiution declared that government would not create or interfer with religion. That has gone by the wayside. If taking prayer out of school and school events is not interferring with religion, what is? I am not going to name the many hot political issues concerning our faith, you know what they are. What concerns me are facts that we have gone from a God fearing nation to putting God on a back shelf to trot out in times of national emergencies or a disaster. The Vampire Diaries are being read more than the Bible.

Christ said in Matthew 10:32 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I deny before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. It seems to me that many of the practices being done in the world(especially US) are denying Christ. You cannot live the lifestyle many are living in and be proclaiming Christ's name at the same time.

When I was a child, I would have been thrilled to meet a member of Congress or the President. Now, I would not walk across the street to do so. I have lost all admiriation of politicians and the office of the President or Congress. The immorality seems to be rampant there. From a President having sex (no matter what he said... it was sex) in the oval office to members of Congress opening proclaiming their sexual preferences. What really shocked me was the response to the public at these revelations! The puplic accepted the actions as if it was a "normal" actions of these people. It reminded me of the acceptance of the actions of the men in Sodom toward the angels.

Our country should remember that Jesus said in Matthew 12: 36-37 But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judegement. for by they words thou shallt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
