Something Vaguely Familiar

  • Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.

You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

Have you ever walked into a room or heard a piece of music or even a familiar smell that sends your mind reeling back to a specific moment in time? Amazing how our minds are wired to our senses that way and how something vaguely familiar can spark a flood of memories associated with that moment. Sometimes those memories are good and we indulge ourselves thinking on those happier, lighthearted moments with fondness.

Other times they are not so good and I'm sure many of us have wondered what the outcome would have been if we could go back in time and choose to do things differently. Does that sound familiar?

There will always be moments in our lives where we have regrets however, there are no regrets in becoming a believer in Christ. One of the first things that our Lord tends to work on as a new believer, is the very things that we now regret. Things that may be considered as sin in our lives.

The bible says that he forgives us of our sins and when we confess them before him, he washes us clean with his precious blood and thus begins the process of sanctification. Renewing our thoughts [mind] so they come into line with his very own thoughts which he works towards establishing along with us and through us by the power of the Holy Spirit. It frees us from condemnation associated with past regrets [or sin]. Jesus did this through his work on the cross...something that every new believer needs to seek out, discover and understand for themselves...

PS: The team and I at CyB are always available If you need any help.
