Matthew 24:4 - "Jesus answered them, 'Be careful that no one misleads you.'"

If we are listening to something that does not center us firmly upon the path into God's kingdom, if we are not becoming like Jesus in holiness and power, if we are not connecting with God's PURPOSE for our life, we are being misled, and that misleading knowledge is an idol.

Affirmations:

THE LORD WANTS ME TO BE ROOTED IN HIM, NOT ROOTED IN MY IDEA ABOUT HIM.

I AM CONFIDENT ENOUGH OF HIS LOVE TO BE ABLE TO UPROOT A WRONG IDEA; AN IDOL IS AN IDOL.

If I am to walk with Christ I need to be delivered from the fear of man, the compulsion to be accepted by men and the motive of wanting to receive from them.

Psalm 13:1 -- "How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? forever? how long with thou hide thy face from me?"

We should not accept that God has permanently hidden Himself from us, though during trials it may seem so. He is teaching us to SEE IN THE DARK and to hear in the silence. He is making Himself known to our inner man so that, regardless of outer circumstances, we can CONTINUALLY be led by led by His Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18 -- "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit"

2 Corinthians 4:18 -- "While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."

We have two sets of ears and two sets of eyes. We have the "natural set" that we are born with, and we have a "spiritual set" that is activated when we are born again.
As we grow spiritually, we begin to see with our spiritual eyes and hear with our spiritual ears.

John 5:19 - "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

Our cry for a fresh experience of God is at the core of being open to believe for something NEW.

Brick by brick, life by life, God is creating a kingdom, a "spiritual house" (1 Peter 2:5).

We have an uncommon call to an uncommon life.
The Holy Spirit gives assignments to people, "to each according to each one's unique ability (Matthew 25:15). As He calls, He equips. To discover this assignment we must be open to something NEW.

When our focus is on meeting our needs, or the demand that others meet our needs, we will build a vocabulary and a life of worry in response to our perceived lack. Jesus said that if we lived this way we would appear like unbelievers.

"So don't worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need." - Matthew 6: 31-33

We know who we are in Christ without doubt or fear. We are sons and daughters of God by His marvelous grace. We have the Blood of Jesus flowing through us. By His Blood we overcome the darkness of this world. Too many in the Church have limited themselves and limited God by not understanding their inheritance in Christ and their right standing with God.

Colossians 1:27 - "...to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

By praying the scriptures in the epistles of Paul that pertain to our inheritance in Christ we come to know who we are in Christ; the power that is flowing through us and our authority over sickness, distractions, or other issues of life. Our body is the temple of God and we have the right to take authority over every area of it – spirit, soul, and body.

The Spirit of God sets things in order, bringing about divine purpose -- standing ready to move, aiding all who seek to establish the King in His Kingdom (see Hebrews 1:14).
The Spirit of the Lord is calling for the Lord's army to arise, taking hold of the Kingdom with true spiritual power and force. Remember, the Lord stated that forceful saints would take the Kingdom of Heaven. "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force" (Matthew 11:12 NASB).

AFFIRMATIONS:

Because the Spirit of the Living God lives inside of me, I give witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with unspeakable power. (Acts 4:33)

I deny myself, pick up my cross, and follow Him. (Acts 4:34)

I dare to join with the working Spirit of God and through my hands many signs and wonders are done among the people. (Acts 5:12,13)

For Christians to endure and prevail in the battles of life, more than anything else, we must have a vision for going higher into God's PURPOSE for our lives. This allows us to soar high above any of the conditions or problems of this world. This is how Paul and Silas soared in worship even when they were in a dungeon. No dungeon could hold their spirits. If the things of this world are still holding us down, then we have not been transformed.
