There were laws in heaven well before there were laws on earth. They are spiritual laws or rules that govern everything in all creation. Even when God formed the heavens and the earth, those laws were already in effect.
I was not going to write this but the lord prompted me to do so and here it is...
All contracts made before God whether oral, implied or written, are housed in the record books of heaven. Such contracts are spiritual first, then they become physically enacted on earth. So If you make any one of these types of commitments, they are recorded in heaven.
It is imperative to ensure that those commitments are what you really want to get involved in or perhaps you had spoken something out before God like a vow, pledge or dedication. Such things are not taken lightly and are considered to be binding contracts. (Numbers 30:1-16) ( Eccles: 5:4-6) (Matt 5:33-37) (James 5:12.)
In regards to the marriage covenant, (Matt 19:6-8) Moses made a certificate of divorce due to Israel's hardness of heart.(Deut 24: 1-4) although it is clear that God hates divorce (Mal 2:16). However, even in a dissolution of a marriage contract, there is still a caveat attached for the believer. (Matt 5:31-32)
God takes these type of things seriously. However, there are certain legal implications that may give one or both partners a way out. For example; a breach made by the other person, the contract has come to it's designated end or by mutual agreement.
Sometimes verbal agreements are not clearly stated or can be organic in nature. Agreements can change over time by one or both partners and can be added to or parts removed however, they need to be mutally agreed upon or you could end up with some major issues.
In these situations, agreements, verbal or implied, can be taken up and given to our advocate (Jesus) (1 John 2:1) to be investigated and then brought before the judge to be pettitioned on our behalf (God, the Father) in the courthouse of heaven.
Depending on each situation, the outcome is according to the verdict handed down by the judge.
The reason that we need to call upon a higher authority in some circumstances, is to ensure that we have been released by the words we have spoken or a contract we cannot fulfill. As it is written, one day we will be held accountable before God... (2 Corinthians 5:10) (Romans 14:12) (Eccles 12:14) for every foolish word we have uttered ( Matt 12:36) and the accuser of the brethren (Rev 12:10-12) can bring this up if it is not dealt with before God accordingly.
In the past few months I made an agreement with a friend. Although we tried to make it more like a written contract, it didn't end up that way and it became organic in nature as we agreed upon certain aspects of that partnership. I take these things as seriously as God does, so after a conversation with my friend just recently, our partneship had changed because he had not allowed me to finish what had been revealed to me by the Holy Spirit. I had spent some time with God and he gave me some key elements to be able to work within what was already set in place..
I needed clarification of what my position was within that partnership and direction from God to determine if it was still plausible or not.
Unfortunately, those key elements required certain things to be in place (which were already in place) but they were removed based on what my partner had decided in that one conversation.
So I bought these issues up to our advocate to represent me before the throne of God and petition on my behalf last night because I did not want to be caught in a breach of contract.
Today I saw a vision of an angel of the lord coming down from heaven holding a document with the words "anulled" stamped across it.
I am deeply relieved by this and will move forward in my pursuit of following the things that God has prepared for me to do beforehand and leave this situation in God's most capable hands.
This is not the only reason you can ask our advocate (Jesus) to petition on your hehalf to the judge (God). There are many other reasons why you would do so but I am only going down this particular avenue. Glory!
