THE WHEAT and the tares. Clearly we love to be seen as the wheat and not the tares. These verses bring up so many questions for me. First question being the Word says not to harvest yet but to let the wheat and tares grow together so as not to pull the wheat up by the root with the tares. So the tares are gathered to be burned. The tares are first bound, Separated from the wheat in bundles. THEN the wheat is gathered into His barn. (Matthew 13: 30). God said in His word to not chance pulling up the wheat, He would bind the tares for the fire. And gather the wheat into His barn. This throws the whole rapture theory that the wheat is gathered first, and then God deals with the tares. If we (the Church)are the wheat, we remain as to not be rooted up. The question then becomes: if we are rooted in Christ...how can we be rooted up. God said He would pluck up and plant us (His people) in their own land and they would never again be plucked up, ROOTED in Christ. There is no reason to fear the harvest since the WORD clearly tells us what is rooted in Christ will remain.

Also, the wheat goes into the fire too. God in HIS infinite long suffering and mercy, desiring us to have a strong root; not in ourself but in Christ. We see this countless times of the burning off of what is waste(flesh). We see this in the disciples picking the wheat and rubbing them to cause the outer to fall away, and they did eat. We see this in the “chaff and stubble” “waste” “flesh” separated(treshed from the wheat). Wheat in the threshing floor, threshed by the one that is to ‘thresh, and fully ‘purge’ out the chaff and stubble...He (GOD) and He alone will purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into His garner. Luke 3:16-17 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: [17] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

We read all the verses of what will happen with the brightness of His coming and the destruction of all flesh. We read of the fire but we wait for a fire that is already begun since GOD is Spirit. We wait for a brightness and burning of wickedness that has also begun. We(believers) are to not “quench” the Spirit, the all-consuming Fire of God, but to welcome it’s holy good work in the destruction of the flesh that opposes God and His Spirit and by the word we are transformed (translated) into the Son’s likeness.

IS NOT MY WORD LIKE AS FIRE? Jeremiah 23:28-32 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord . [29] Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord ; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? [30] Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord , that steal my words every one from his neighbour. [31] Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord , that use their tongues, and say, He saith. [32] Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord , and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord .

Notice: Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, AND BY THEIR LIGHTNESS;...yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: THEREFORE THEY SHOULD NOY PROFIT THIS PEOPLE AT ALL.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. [14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. [15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

Jeremiah 23:33-36
[33] And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the Lord ? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the Lord . [34] And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the Lord , I will even punish that man and his house. [35] Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the Lord answered? and, What hath the Lord spoken? [36] And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.

His burden is light.

Psalm 1:4
[4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Amos 8:4-10
[4] Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, [5] Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? [6] That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea , and sell the refuse of the wheat? [7] The Lord hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works. [8] Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. [9] And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God , that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day: [10] And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son , and the end thereof as a bitter day.

“And I will turn your feast into mourning,...”
“...I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.”

...But it doesn’t end there. Don’t let it end there. “He is Risen!” “Come all he that labour and I will give you rest.”
