UNDERSTANDING GOD'S DELAYS

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

The reasons for delay in your life are actually choices you have total control over?

Reason #1 – Pursuing the Promise Instead of God
If you have been in a pattern of delay for weeks, months or even years, ask yourself, "Have I been chasing something that is related to God's purpose for my life?"
For example, if you want something or need something, is it possible you don't believe you've already received it (Mark 11:24)? God promises in Philippians 4:19, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

He is faithful and trustworthy. He says what He does and does what He says. God has promised you that He has ALREADY given you all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Why not believe God at His Word?

Reason #2 – What You Magnify Will Manifest
The more you magnify anything, the more it continues to manifest. What you feed will grow. Instead of magnifying the delay, what you can do is choose to be content and thankful for what you already have.

Complaining about the delay can stop what we desire to happen in our lives. Be intentional from now on and choose to be content at all times.

1 Timothy 6:6 reveals a KEY to our breakthrough: "Now godliness with contentment is great gain." Just like complaining is a choice, being content is also a choice.

Reason #3 – Doing It Your Way Instead of God's Way
If you truly want to follow His lead, then take Jesus' advice in Mark 8:34: "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."
We can say we want to follow Him, but are we willing to deny ourselves? The more we obey Him, the less our will is going to come to pass.

The more we obey God, the more we die to self. Either more of God's will is coming to pass in our lives or more of our own will. It's our choice.
