How can a Christian tell if a satanic cult leader has taken over a church?

By what happens in a church during a church service. The way a preacher acts and what he says and does. How the people act, what they do and say. The kind of feeling a Christian gets in a church. The overall atmosphere of a church. How much a Christian really benefits spiritually while in a church. How much a Christian feels the love of God, peace, joy, safety, true fellowship in a church.

Christians need to know what happens at their church on nights and even days that aren't regularly scheduled for a church service. A Christian wouldn't find out by asking about that. Because things are kept secret. It would take some investigation without being noticed.

I'm grateful for the respite which the trial has afforded me. I'm hard-pressed, stretched thin, and called upon to bear my cross and walk in His Spirit in spite of the obstacles I face. This has had the effect of putting alters at rest while I --- the presenter --- cope with the trial. Praise the Lord!

The Lord accomplishes much especially when we're not aware of His work, @Jostler . I'm glad that you voiced the opposition of the alternate who is determined to find fault with you because it was a much-needed jolt of sobriety. The alter needed to see that and understand the nature of his issues...

He was programmed to oppose. That was his nature but it doesn't have to rule him now. He can choose to do otherwise.

Yeah, I finally got to the heart of the matter. I didn't have to piece together his thoughts and feelings... I just considered the fruit of the alter's actions. Programmed opposition, pure and simple. He didn't understand why he opposed, only that he was driven to oppose and so he did.

It was all he knew. This protector alternate is devoted to protecting me, only now he's starting to see that the Lord is my protector. And not just my protector but his as well. He's been silent which is a good thing.

God wants you healed... He wants you whole... He wants you filled with peace and joy.

Simply bring your thoughts to HIS GOODNESS.... HIS MAJESTY... HIS POWER and SOVEREIGNTY.... WORSHIP HIM... and all else will fall into place... You do not need to dissect
or find all the broken pieces.... allow HIM to do the remembering... He will bring forth the information that HE desires to deal with in you.

I've been thinking a lot since last night about some things. I knew when I first became aware of the things that have happened to me, SRA, and the resulting effects including D.I.D., PTSD ....that maybe even my own family wouldn't believe me and they didn't for awhile. That was extremely hard to accept and to deal with. It was very painful and heartbreaking. If your own family doesn't believe you, chances are there will be other people who won't believe you. That's just the way it is. Other people might say that you are lying, have mental illness, are demonized, that you are an attention seeker, that you don't have enough faith, that you aren't living right, that you aren't a true Christian. Yes, I've been told all that and more by people. I've pretty much heard it all.

As survivors, we have nothing to prove to anybody. It doesn't change the truth that we have to live with and deal with if someone doesn't believe us. That's just noise and a distraction that gets in the way of our fight to move forward and gain our freedom. We can't let that cause us to lose our focus and our goal.

The most important thing to me is that I know the LORD knows everything that happened to me. I find great comfort and peace in knowing that. He will and does comfort us and eases our pain. He gives us strength. He gives us assurance that he will never forsake us and that He will always be with us. He listens when we cry out to Him for help. He loves us with an everlasting love. He understands us when no one else does. All this is enough for me.

This is to help others understand what Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly called MPD, or Multiple Personality Disorder) is, and a Christian response to help, ministry, and healing.

Interesting, I have been reading this thread closely, because it has been brought to my attention 6-23-21 by someone that I had welcomed to this forum/site that have sadly left, which is another moderator on a different site, but I'm hoping for his return here.

There are many more fantastical things I have heard about, but I wonder if it is lawful to discuss. I don't think it is.
Why not? It may help someone who is experiencing these things to see things brought to light with honesty, in a safe atmosphere where Christ is the center of the discussion.

Walter, I don't know of any topics that are unlawful to discuss. This thread is, in general, meant to be a place where survivors of various traumatic experiences can minister to one another as they learn about the Lord, and pursue Him for healing and restoration.

That does require some pretty graphic discussion of very unpleasant subjects. There isn't much that will shock anyone here.

It takes a great deal of courage to tell some of these stories in public at all. But it can help many validate their own experiences, and understand they are not alone. I salute, and appreciate those who dare to share their testimonies o others can progress in their own journey toward healing, among people who will love them, accept them, believe them...and pray for them. It does take courage to risk telling these stories on a forum where so many just want to fight over their pet doctrines.

one thing I know. DID is a God designed self defense mechanism that enables a person to "escape" trauma so severe it would literally kill them if they were unable to dissociate from the pain. DID survivors are all possessed of very high native intelligence. People like Joseph Mengele discovered that children who did not possess very sharp minds, could not dissociate from pain...and they died from the traumas inflicted on them. Many innocent young lives were lost in those human experiments.

And DID is not a mental illness. They are some of the most rational people alive. Give them truth, and they will process it in very logical, internally consistent ways.

This sounds a lot like a description of the corruption of the flesh. Believing what is not true, those lies controlling the will, making people slaves to sin.

"You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Its when we learn the truth that we can start to live right. And the more truth we embrace, the better our lives will be.

I've found a lot of crossover between our spiritual condition, and these sorts of emotional and mental issues.

There is damage done, and it leads to wrong thinking, which leads to wrong living. Correct the wrong thinking, and we live better.

They were that way with Jesus too.
