Pray that he agrees with me that doubling my Coreg from 12.5mg to 25mg twice a day is what brings it down enough.
I experimented with doing that and it dropped down to 132.

I am on Lisinopril 40mg once a day, Amlodipine 5mg once a day, Coreg 12.5mg twice a day.
I have been running too high like 150's to 160's over 80's and also had a UTI which I did not know about, perhaps for months. I am on a sulpha drug and feel very much energetic again, half way through the bottle. My PCP did and EKG and saw he abnormal heart rhythm and referred me.

They may want to do an echocardiogram and a stress test.

My PCP added in 2 old BP drugs that could actually hurt my QOL, turn me into a zombie, I decided not to take them, they are Atenolol 100mg/Chlorthalidone 25mg "sledgehammer." Chlorthalidone can turn you into a raging diabetic.

The abnormal EKG is I think, an enlarged LVH, meaning my high blood pressure has forced the heart to work harder/ like any muscle it them grows bigger.

Only other thing is Ischemia- heart attack, myocardial infarction, and I never have any chest pain or swelling in my extremities.

Thank you for sharing.

We pray, as you are praying, that God will give you and your physicians the best guidance on the various medicines available.

We also pray that God will still any anxiety in you, and will comfort, strengthen, and sustain you during this time of trial.

Amen.

Side effects of Chlorthalidone can be very bad. For me not worth the benefit. I have a ressistant type of hypertension apparently.
My Blood pressure though can drop to decent levels like 133/76 pulse 73 or can be 170/84 pulse 83 etc... Last week had a 116/78 pulse 72
I have been hypertensive all the way through my hospital career and later on for GlaxoSmithKline. It has never made me feel bad, weak, never edema, no headaches, no pains, never any issues that affected my ability to do anything even today. I do get panic attacks occasionally, so yes I can feel stress. Just thinking about visiting this cardiologist stresses me regarding the recent change in my blood pressure medicine. Docs can bring your pressure down, but doing that can wipe you clear out, so you can hardly do much, and I would rather die and pass on to the Lord in Heaven than feel like that. My own view is God holds my life and breath in His hands and if I die, then it is my time. And that I can not die, nothing can kill me until God takes me. I have a very complex medical history, experienced many things that would have sapped the life out of many people including severe 3rd and 2nd degree burns in an engine room fire on boat all over both legs where I was sprayed with fuel and people said I looed like a human torch. Went to hospital with skin hanging loose in strips off my legs. On 50th birthday spent a month in the burn unit with frequent wound debridement and very powerful drugs like fentanyl, There I am awake on powerful narcotic drugs totally exposed naked with medical care people coming and going all the time. I have real vivid memories still, can recall coming out of the surgeries, and seeing a nurse holding a vial of fentanyl asking if I would like some and saying yes, more. Then me and her laughing about do you do drugs.

I never got addicted, although the docs were worried. I hated the morphene, made me physically ill, but the fentanyl was sweet, it took the extreme pain away. I had a hand pain pump and one nurse marveled I had pushed it hundreds of times an hour. Then a few times the IV bag with drugs would run low, and I would panic, cause as soon as the drip ran out that burn pain would creep up on you and it was awful bad, happened a couple times. A woman in the next room primal screamed in pain, was told she had been burned with hot oil from her head down her entire front to her waist in a kitchen explosion.

When your in such s situation their is no modesty, everything about you is exposed. Nakedness does not separate you from God.

Then I also have diabetic neuropathy, have to take insulin, big patch of psoriasis on my ankle, And recently seem to be having BPH possibly, so am going for a prostate MRI at end of the month.

If your not squeamish you can see some of my burns, I still feel the pain just not severe like it was then. The flames ran up the back of both legs all the way to my bottom. I had to push myself very hard to recover. Physical therapy told me if I did not would be crippled for life. But I persevered through this incredible pain and regained full mobility. My skin amazingly all grew back. My lower grafted right leg the graft failed and fell off at home. I can recall being in the shower and it peeling away from my leg. Doctor saw that and was emotionally spent and walked out of the room, then came back in to finish checking my progress.

And also was partially out of it from the pain drugs at home a few times. Caught myself ripping away my skin on one spot till I had pulled off a 2inch round size of new skin.

But the skin grew in from the edges and filled in everywhere. It grew in fast too, it really helps me emotionally to share what happened to me

Scott praying everything works out for you.

About your UTI, after a course of antibiotics make sure you eat yogurt or something to replenish your good bacteria in your gut. Good bacteria in gut keeps your immune system strong.

Got back from Dr Nadig visit, went great! He agreed with me to not take atenolo-Chlorthalidone. He doubled my dose of Amlodipine to 10 once a day, and Coreg to 25 twice a day, which is exactly what I really wanted.

I told doc I had doubled them up for 3 days in a row, and BP dropped. In office it was 118/73, which to them is perfect for me.
My ST elevations and ST depressions are likely related to LVH, heart muscle is stronger as it has been pumping harder, so it is bigger.

We scheduled an Echocardiogram for Feb 25, and a nuclear stress test on April 9.

Amen!!

God is good, all the time, and all the time God is good.

Not sure what you would say, but I would have joined my ancestors long ago if it had not been for the steady advances in medicine.

Peace.

So it's bigger ?

At a mates 60th his brother inlaw was telling me that he had a inlarged heart problem, she was growing and he got medication to stop that ! but he did not take the pills for a year, because he thought such was nonsense, but Doctor got up him saying are you taking the pills ! so he did and he said it works and he feels much better now.

I remember the Grinch Who stole Christmass, say that his Heart was down a size and a half ! And this time I will keep it off !
He looked fit to me getting about and all. :spring:

I also had a UTI and was put on a sulpha drug last week. My high BP like 150-170 over mid 80's was over pressuring my kidneys causing them to create more pee filtering the blood. That and the UTI was squeezing the prostate and urethra, so was making more pee, and retaining pee. I was frequently needing to go. For a while now needing to go every 2 - 3 hours like clockwork.
Last night was great, no need to go to the bathroom every 2 hours, only went once at 4 am.

It was like a fire in my bladder (but no stinging pain) and I could feel my heart thumping in my chest. But the need to go has gone!

All of that has gone away, my blood pressure last night was 118/69. I did feel little wobbly on my feet getting off couch, and a tiny bit dizzy.
I feel good right now.

I have Humana Medicare Advantage PPO with giveback. MA insurances often require prior authorizations for procedures, so the urologist ordered a prostate MRI to be done at Sentara Careplex in Hampton, but did not request a PA. I have to cancel it for feb 28 as the time window is short. I dont think will reschedule as I feel very good and normal again. That MRI does an entire scan of that area to look for issues. But I think my prostate was inflamed, swollen by the infection causing the high PSA. Cancelling that will save me $300

Just check my pressure and wow, like when I was a little kid
yesterday when it went down to 119, I woke up and walked and felt dizzy, but today low like this and feel great
it always drops low after 2-3 hours of taking 25mg Coreg. That is a twice per day BP pill, leaves your system faster than the others

the reason your ticker , or heart was a thumping so much was due to your infection .
I got an infection in my leg a few years back . and it moved fast too .
my ticker was beating like a hundred plus beats a minute .
Oh , i just wanted to remind us all , THE LORD IS OUR HOPE and OUR SALVATION . now to the trenches and line the walls
our duty is not done till the last breath ebbs out of these lungs , OR THE LORD do come .

Had the echocardiogram. Left side of heart is normal. I have right ventricular dilation. likely caused by pulmonary hypertension. No stenosis, mean no narrowing of valves. slight regurgitation of aortic valve, could have been born with it. Overall prognosis is good. Next test is the nuclear stress test April 9. Since I respond well to blood pressure meds, my arteries are in good shape. My cardiologist is an interventionist. Was interesting to watch my heart beating on the monitor, could see valves open and close, and contractions. Overall so far heart has held up well. i don't get chest pains, I feel the same as I ever did, even from my youth.

The right ventricle is one of the two lower chambers of the heart. It receives deoxygenated blood (blood in which oxygen has been removed) from the body and then pumps this blood to the lungs to receive oxygen. Right ventricular hypertrophy, also known as right ventricular enlargement, is a thickening of the heart’s right lower chamber wall when there is pressure overload due to lung disease.

As the muscle thickens, it becomes more difficult for the heart to pump blood to the lungs.1

European Society of Cardiology. Right ventricular failure.
It usually is caused by severe lung disease but can also be caused by a leaky left-sided heart valve (aortic regurgitation) or other heart conditions.1 Symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment depend on underlying conditions and their severity.

LORD who then can be saved .
With man this is impossible but not WITH GOD .
some years later
SIRS what must i do To be saved
BELEIVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and ye shall be saved .
SEE HOW SIMPLE THAT IS my friends . MAN cannot save himself APART FROM FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST .
And GOD chose to save the world by the preaching of the gospel to save those WHO DO BELIEVE .

God gave mankind 120 years until the judgement of the great flood.
We are all part flesh, as in mortal; meaning we all have an end date.
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

And God said unto Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were fair; and they took for themselves wives of all whom they chose.
3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for he also is flesh; yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.”
4 There were giants on the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagining of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And the Lord repented that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart.
7 And the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air, for I repent that I have made them.”
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
