Yes, Their Messiah came. His name was Jesus. But before that time they had to believe in God. They just didn't know His name yet or what He was like so much. They are now required to believe in God's Messiah that came
1. There are no names of persons or places or things with J's because there are no J's or J or G sounds in the scriptures.....Maybe a sneeze.
2. No one knows where the word Jesus came from, it just appeared in the 17th century AD. It cannot be translated from anything in the scriptures.
3. As far as them recognizing Yeshua as the Messiah? Eliyyah (Elijah) would come down in a fiery chariot and introduce the Messiah to the Jews. The Hebrew scriptures describe the Messiah as a human warlord king that would take out their oppressors and establish a kingdom and put the Jews in power and the Mosaic Law and sacrifices would continue forever Eliyyah was considered senior more divine than the Messiah. None of this happened.
Nothing about the Messiah coming and then dying and coming back thousands of years later.
For the Messiah to be a God was sacrilegious to the Jews. That is one of the reasons they wanted him crucified.
What actually happened was just too different for most of the Jews to accept Yeshua as the Messiah.
