It's like I said, the Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus have not... been proven authentic, nor as the oldest Greek texts.

This matter of the Christian Church having used the Traditional Greek Text for 1,800 years until Textual Criticism came along, notice those who support leaving the Traditional Text never bring that point up. 1,800 years is a long... time, and the early Church fathers are NOT found quoting from Codex Vaticanus nor Codex Sinaiticus. They quoted the Traditional Greek text.

And Wescott and Hort's corrupt 1881 Greek New Testament text they 'created' from suspect manuscripts is supposed to be better and replace that previous 1,800 years of Church history with usage of the Traditional Text?

What KIND of 'heart' would not care about just dumping that 1,800 years of Christian history using the Traditional Text?

Something else brethren you should know about Textual Criticism's supported Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, the two codices have disagreements with each other. Not only that, but Tischendorf did not discover a complete Sinaiticus text in the waste basket at the monastery. Somehow, mysteriously, he said he found the rest of it years later, which is very... very suspect. And we are supposed to rely... on Tischendorf having found the "best and oldest" Greek NT text in the 1850's?

Likewise with Codex Vaticanus, it sat in the Vatican library and was only brought out in 1475 A.D., which is another suspect coincidence.

Codex Vaticanus is shorter than the Traditional Text. Wescott and Hort tried to explain the reason was that the translators of the Traditional Text added to the Scripture, and thus it has more words, but that Vaticanus is shorter because it was not added to and is thus closer to the original. Vaticanus is missing in The Gospel Books 2,877 words that appear in the Traditional Text (Burgon, The Revision Revised, p.75).

In Vaticanus, Mark 16:9-20 is omitted, but has a BLANK SPACE where that section of Scripture would appear. It is the only... place in the manuscript with a column left vacant as if a decision was on-going whether or not to include those 12 verses. It shows obvious EDITING of pre-existing manuscripts that included those Mark 16:9-20 verses.

Codex Sinaiticus has Gnostic corruptions. In John 1:18, Sinaiticus changes "the only begotten Son" of the Traditional Text instead to "the only begotten God", which is to disassociate Jesus Christ The Son of God from God Himself with the false claim that the Word is not the same as The Son. Instead, the Traditional Text identifies The Son as The Word in John 1.

Codex Vaticanus cuts off the Book of Hebrews at Hebrews 9:14, as the rest of Hebrews that it omits is about Lord Jesus Christ ONLY being our Mediator to The Father for us, and that the idea of a flesh priesthood is ended by Christ. That helps out the Catholic Church which uses a flesh priesthood that is not ordained by The New Covenant. It points a finger at Codex Vaticanus possibly being a corrupt manuscript created by the Catholic Church in order to support its later corruptions.

I actually believe 'some'... folks NEED... to have more 'feelings' in this day and time...

Two things can be true at the same time.

1. TRUTH. Emotions are not the way to determine truth.
2. GRACE. We worship an emotional God and we should be emotional, especially in compassion for others.

In yesterday's devotional reading of Mark 3, we find at V5 two emotions our Lord had to one event, anger and grief. He was angry at their sense of justice lacking and was grieved at how lacking their were in compassion for doing good, saving life and healing on the Sabbath.

In another thread, a poster made the claim that to love someone doesn't mean being their friend. This in response to my neighbor sharing that I am friends with everyone. As I see it, there is hardly a stronger testimony for a true Christian than to be friends with everyone, to readily show that genuine and universal compassion. This is the meaning in the Rules of Christian Living at Romans 12 in my preferred CEV translation:

15 When others are happy, be happy with them, and when they are sad, be sad. 16 Be friendly with everyone. Don't be proud and feel that you know more than others. Make friends with ordinary people​

As I've gotten on in years, after raising my children, I realized I don't need to waste time and energy judging people I don't have authority over. Instead, I embrace being friends with everyone, meaning sympathetic to their position and see the facts in light most favorable to them. They don't have to convince me of their innocence in any claim of wrong doing, etc. Why is it so hard for even Christians to be kind to others? They're imbalanced between Grace and Truth.

Notice brethren, NOTHING was said about my posting of 2 Timothy 3 about how many at the end would be lovers of themselves, "without natural affection".

How can a believer on Jesus Christ come to God's Truth without first having the love... of the Truth?

2 Thess 2:10-11

So love of the Truth has nothing to do with the emotions, huh? Well I am passionate about God's Truth! And this is why I am prepared against that "strong delusion", as I am prepared to defend God's Truth to the death even, unlike the Milly-mouthed Socialists out there.
