You go first.

That is weird.
You want me to identify, defend, explain what YOU claimed?

Every time we sin, we can go to God, confess the sin, and be forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness.

This is basic Christianity. Should not be mysterious.

Can you identify the mystery of…
According to you…What is Sin?

Thanks,
Taken

Weird? The unknown differences between two words and their definitions: "restore" or "transform."

See your response after looking up the definition of "restore."
If I go only by your words verbatim, I can't honestly understand your theology, because you are too inconsistent and all over the place.
Regenerated are not "restored"; the regenerated are transformed.

You favor the word “regenerate”, which does not appear in Scripture.

I favor the word “restore” which does appear in Scripture.

Restore, Renew, Transform… all are Scriptural words, that have to DO with;

*The WHOLE (body, soul, spirit) of a “natural man…”
*HOW, WHEN, BY WHAT MEANS, “a natural man’s…body, soul, spirit”…
* CAN BECOME “MADE”…WHOLE, WHOLLY, HOLY… pleasing and acceptable to the Lord God Almighty.

The “Restoring” …deals primarily with the Soul, that was Given a man, called Good, became in a natural man…Not Good…
And an offer from God, to “Restore the souls Goodness.”

The “Renewing” …deals primarily with the “Natural” Spirit of man (born of a mans SEED). That which Gods Offering, IS Receiving of Gods SEED, to Effect A “Renewed spiritual Birth”…
That by Such SEED, Rebirth, Spirit, Consequence… MAKES that man…
A son of God…
And God, that man’s Father.

The “Transforming”…deals primarily with the Body’s “NATURAL CARNAL MIND”.

While the “changing” of a mans Soul and Spirit… ARE Works the Lord God Does…
The “changing” of a mans CARNAL MIND…
IS…
The mans responsibility of “ongoing daily works”.

God provides the man with the “tools” ( so to speak…restored soul, renewed spirit )…
And thereafter MANS, responsibility is to USE those (tools)…
To continually … TRANSFORM his own CARNAL MIND…
By… MAKING his own Carnal Mind, Listen, respond, act, surrender, YEILD, To his spirits thoughts, which ARE expressly being;
Taught, Fed, Nurtured, Approved …
By the Lord God Almighty Himself.

Maybe … consider Each PART of the Whole of man…
And WHAT and HOW, Gods Way “Offers and Changes The soul and spirit” “and the mans accountability, using the (tools) God gives the man to fulfill his responsibility.”

God bless you.

Can you identify the mystery of…
According to you…What is Sin?
First, you want me to tell you what sins I struggle against.

I replied you go first, meaning you go ahead and tell me what sins you struggle against.

Now you want me to tell you what sin is? This is mysterious to you?

Have you ever read the Bible or gone to church?

First, you want me to tell you what sins I struggle against.

I replied you go first, meaning you go ahead and tell me what sins you struggle against.

I didn’t claim to have ANY “struggles With Sin”… you did.

You asked me to “go first” and tell you about something, I never claimed!

Now you want me to tell you what sin is?

Since you could not answer / identify what sins you claimed you struggled with…

I asked a different question, to see if you could Answer … what you Believe Sin IS.

This is mysterious to you?

WHAT sin IS, is not a mystery to me…
The mystery, and reason I asked YOU, is:
What sins you struggle with and What SIN, means TO YOU.

If YOU do not know what you Believe, just say so, instead of pretending, that sin is “my struggle”.

Have you ever read the Bible or gone to church?

You ask a question…
This is a proper answer;
Yes I have and continue to daily read the Bible.
Yes I have gone to “a” church.

How about you try again properly answering my questions?

Glory to God,

Why should it matter to you what sins I may struggle against?

What sins do you struggle against?

If you ask “what is sin?”, it is hard for me to believe you ever read the Bible or ever went to church.

Your smiling, tongue extended party balloon avatar tells me much about your attitude toward spiritual issues.

Why should it matter to you what sins I may struggle against?

That is a non-answer.

What sins do you struggle against?

None.

If you ask “what is sin?”, it is hard for me to believe you ever read the Bible or ever went to church.

Do you recognize the difference between…
Asking a Question…. Because a person Does Not Know the Answer….and Asking a Question to Discover what another Does know or Believe?

I know What SIN is…
But doubt you know and why you are playing around deflecting.

Your smiling, tongue extended party balloon avatar tells me much about your attitude toward spiritual issues.

Your deflecting tells me much about your character….

How does God chasten us?
Hebrews 12:6-11
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Paul compares God's chastening to a father disciplining a son. A recent poll on this forum* showed about 2/3 say it is ok to use corporal punishment to discipline their children.

Does God sometimes use physical discipline to correct His children?

* Is it ok for parents to use corporal punishment to discipline their children?
Yes and yes.

Yes, I am aware of that false teaching that those who are born again cannot ever sin. It’s ridiculous and unbiblical.

I will not be “taken” in by such holier than thou nonsense.

1 John 1:8

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Outward False claim…
The born again of Gods Seed, are Absolutely Freed and Delivered From Sin, and can sin “NO More”, PRECISELY ACCORDING TO …

Rev 1:
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.

1 John 3:
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

I will not be “taken” in by such holier than thou nonsense.

Thanks for clarifying your belief in Scripture is “nonsense”.

Guess what? Scripture notifies us, “your presumed sensible understanding IS Carnal, and is so because you are not prepared to understand “Scripture in a Spiritual capacity.”

1 John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

So? Did ANYONE SAY….”they HAVE no sin”…?
Uh no…
So why pick some random passage that HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MEN WHO ARE BORN AGAIN?

Try harder to say on point.

You need to read 1 John again, paying attention to who “we” refers to.

It refers to John and all born again believers.

1 John 1:8

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

2Sa 7:14
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

1Co 5:5
To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Sometimes we all need a wake up call.
And if we're not paying attention,
Sometimes in the form of war or famine or diseases or poverty and even death.
God uses whatever is necessary to raise us up in the way we should go, just as we are told to raise up our children in the way they should go.
Sometimes we call it discipline.
God calls it correction.

Pro 15:10
Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
Is, Was, and Always will be.
Rev 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Discipline is learned not inherited.

And BY Gods POWER, that man is Forever Kept in Belief.

God does not cause you to keep believing., and the verse that says that "Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith".....does not mean that Jesus forced you to believe and will keep making you have faith.
Notice that James says a Christian can have "dead faith.".
Jesus speaks about these as being "Lukewarm".

The reality is........ God keeps us saved exactly the same way we became saved to begin with...., and its up to us to learn how to not become deceived out of our faith.

Notice that on this forum you have many who will come running to any Thread that tries to prove you can lose your salvaiton. ?
Have you ever noticed these same people, doing that?
They do that becasue a Thread that lies to them about losing salvation, feels good to them.....they feel at home on it, because their faith is gone, and its been replaced by that lie as their broken faith theology..... So, they run to a forum Thread that is designed to rejoice in the lie = that you can lose your salvation.
This is a false gospel that feeds the flesh of a carnal believer. And that is why these same people will all run to a "OSAS" Thread, as that is teaching the lie that salvation can be lost which is their FAITH.
So, when you BELIEVE that Lie, it becomes unto you =TRUTH........so, that is why people who are deceived this way love any conversation where they can hear all about salvation being lost.
What this is, is a deceived person being fed lies that they like to believe.

Agree…
No one MAKES a person Believe.

Josh 24:
[15] And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

1 Thes 1:
[4] Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

Disagree…

The Power of God does KEEP a Converted person Saved.

1 Cor 1:
[18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 John 4:
[4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

John 10:
[28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
[29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Notice that James says a Christian can have "dead faith.".
Jesus speaks about these as being "Lukewarm".

Notice WHAT a Christian “IS”…
“A Follower”, who can leave at any time.

Notice what a “Converted Christian IS”…
A man who has Surrendered his Whole Life, unto Gods Care, Protection, Perfection, Keeping.
Body’s Life…Blood
Souls Life…..Gods Breath
Spirits Life….Gods Seed / Spirit of Truth

The reality is........ God keeps us saved exactly the same way we became saved to begin with...., and its up to us to learn how to not become deceived out of our faith.

Disagree. You are describing a Believer, who is neither committed or saved.

For a Converted Saved Believer…. Their “job”, ie. “Up to Them…”
IS To: USE the Power of their Indwelling “Spirit of Truth”… to supersede, be stronger than the “THOUGHTS” in their Carnal Mind…( which naturally the Carnal Mind, is not “wired” (so to speak) to believe what it can not, see, hear, smell, taste, touch )…
(that was a struggle Paul taught was a challenge to overcome)

All these Umpteen “medical Mental “problems / Diseases”… man has identified and named….Are Conflicts between the Thoughts in the heart (spirit) and carnal mind. The mind is not yielding to the hearts thoughts.

God bless you.

It is twisted teaching void of actual Facts.
And do notice…the disagreements… ugh.

Can a person lose their Salvation?
Simple answer… Yes.

Understanding the Answer…
Salvation was Bought for every man…
Salvation was Offered to every man…
Salvation is Every mans Gift…

Any man that which Does NOT TAKE “his Gift”…
So sad, too bad, they never took and possessed “their gift”…
And they Mortally Die… they “lost / forfeited” their Gift of Salvation.

Can a man take, receive, possess his gift of Salvation….
And THEN Lose his Gift? No

It’s a parallel to Adam being offered the Gift of the Tree of Life…(TO freely Eat)
and
the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil…—>
(With a negative consequence WARNING)
FREEWILL choice.

Adam Bit and Ate.

Same with Gods word…
Men can refuse.
Men can bite (Taste) …spit it out.
Or
Men can bite and Eat.
