Sure glad he slapped a big tariff on Canada, bonehead liberal leader and his nation have taken advantage of us.
With all due respect, this is an incredibly uninformed opinion, coming from the White House without any critical thinking, no doubt. Trump has repeatedly shown he has no understanding of tariffs and how trade balances work. That's why he previously issued massive tariffs to numerous countries. The whole world knows this and is both laughing at him and incredibly frustrated with him because of his cluelessness.

When he initially attacked Canada with tariffs, Canada retaliated
only because he started it. Now, he's upped the tariffs, blaming Canada for things like removing American booze from its shelves,
which was only done as part of the initial retaliation for his tariffs.
He continually speaks out of both sides of his mouth, contradicts himself, even in the same interview, and speaks lies a vast majority of the time.
It's the same thing he did with Iran: he cancelled the agreement that was signed by Obama, then starts a war because there was no agreement, then said they were close to an agreement (denied by Iran), and then continues to bomb and kill people despite initially saying it would be done in a couple of weeks or so. Now the U.S. is close to running out of oil because they can't get the Straight of Hormuz open and consumer costs have risen quite a bit (but will be rising much more significantly soon).
Canada has in no way whatsoever taken advantage of the U.S. Trump and his administration are absolutely clueless about tariffs and how trade works, like what trade deficits are. And all of us are going to pay dearly for it. And Canada supplies a majority of your oil and gas (around 60%), plus some electricity. So, due to the unethical, pointless Iran war, Canada rather now holds enough cards to bring the U.S. to its knees. But, you won't hear about those things in your far-right-wing, MAGA echo chambers, nor in the mainstream media since MAGA owns it all.
