I don't understand J Osteen's popularity; and the Lord's coming is seen clearly in the Lord's Supper, 1 Corinthians 11.26.

ah, never heard any prosperity jazz per se from him, hmm. The second one is a plus to me? Bc by "beliefs" we now always mean "about the past or the future," right? They way we are taught? It's really simple. For this present world, God has given majority control of it over to Satan. Some may have a difficult time understanding that since they prefer to live in their own mind instead of facing reality, but this is also what God's Word reveals (Luke 4 with what Satan offered our Lord Jesus if He would follow him).

This present world was never... intended to be a replacement for God's future Kingdom to come under His Son, even as our Lord Jesus declared that this world is not His Kingdom, otherwise His servants would fight.

This world and everything in it involving flesh man is designed to perish, not live eternal. Even our flesh bodies are destined to perish. According to Apostle Paul in Romans 8, God placed the present creation in a state of vanity, in bondage to corruption, and by that showing that state cannot be compared to the future glory to come.

So for this present world, Satan and his children have been given advantage. This is why God's people are only able to overcome this world through His help, as we cannot defeat the devil and this world without Him and His Son. This especially means that brethren who think they can create a heaven here on earth in this present world need to re-calibrate their thinking and get in line with what God's Word reveals about it. What He revealed in His Word is a coming destruction by fire of this present world and all of man's works in it (2 Peter 3).

That kingdom is within you idea that Jesus said is often misinterpreted by the mystical occult fraternities. They treat it like we're supposed to become masters of this present world and of our flesh, as if we lost something and can only get it back by perfecting our flesh. What a lie that is! And you know who that lie is from? It's from the devil, because he knows this present world is all he has, same as his children here on earth think also, this world, as they don't believe in any other.

So how did my Lord Jesus really mean that kingdom is within you idea? He meant it about the world to come, when we will cast off these flesh bodies, and our spiritual bodies will be revealed in His future Kingdom. Like Apostle Paul said, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither does corruption inherit incorruption (1 Cor.15). And as Paul also taught, only those who believe on Jesus Christ can become 'a new creation' inside their flesh, which Paul was pointing to our spirit inside our flesh which with our soul is a separate thing from our flesh (Matthew 10:28).

Please remind me what "passage" we were discussing?? I think we are talking about different things. All I will say is that there will be a NEW EARTH as well as a new Heaven. I also believe that Christians will inhabit it. I do not believe we ever go to Heaven. And, yes, I agree that the Western Christians, many, not all - are stuck in a rut, many for their whole Christian lives! Lax and only looking to God for what He can provide for THEM. They do not seek to go further...lazy. But, there is a remnant...

I do not believe we ever go to Heaven.

That is one of the strangest remarks coming from a Christian, although it would have been normal for a Jehovah's Witness.

The Bible says that the citizenship of Christians ("our citizenship") is in Heaven. But it looks like you are already renouncing that. Next you'll be telling us that you do not believe in the Resurrection/Rapture.

The inhabitants of the New Earth will be the redeemed nation of Israel and the saved nations surrounding it. But our eternal home is the New Jerusalem in Heaven, where Christ has prepared mansions for those who belong to Him.
