What covenant was Jesus referring to in Matt 13:52 when He made that statement?
Both. But that has nothing to do with signs.

I imagine either the tablets or the Ark of the Covenant, ...probably both, as the tablets were the tangible witness to the commandments, and the ark's sole purpose was to house the tablets. ...which then raises the question about the tabernacle, ...and the sacrificial system...?But the Ten Commandments was a covenant by itself, and had its own sign. What was it?
If as you claim that you are a teacher of the Scriptures, then you would known that Jesus was referring to the covenant that has been present since the time of Adam, a very ancient covenant, which has been in play every since.

My final answer, the Ark of the Covenant?
He's talking about the end of the age when both those who were believing for the Messiah, the seed of the woman, when they died, including Adam and Noah and Abraham and Moses and David, etc., and those who believed on His name in the New Covenant. He's talking about people from both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Interesting about the jewelry. Is that in the Bible or in the Quran?
You are right on the New Covenant, except it was only one of the elements. It was His blood that took away our sin. So the cup of the New Covenant is the sign of the New Covenant. Good job!
The sign of the Old Covenant of the Ten Commandments is the Sabbath. Exodus 31:13. It, along with all the other holy convocations of Leviticus 23 are being fulfilled in Christ.
So you got that right, and I finished this question, so you get to ask another question to keep this thread going. The if fun.
its in the bible, I think iver in genesis or kings and regarding quran possibly coz I do see a number of muslims who like 2 show off their jewellery speshly at speakers corner coz they wanna be like Ishmael and his colony, and also wearing jewellery has a long pagan tradition!! and beyond dat has a dark connotation and history!! actual demons are said 2 wear jewellery speshly (rings) out of pride 2 glorify themselves infront of satan.
What? You are not making any sense. What are you smoking?
who was rahab?
who was rahab?
It was also a sign of the Law. Surely you see circumcision mentioned dozens of times throughout the Law....
Go read the verse in context.
The only context I see is that you have no understanding of the significance of this one verse: -
What I am suggesting is that you have no understanding of the Greek words, "καινὰ," "kaina" and "παλαιά", "palaia" and their implication in the context in which this verse was stated by Christ.Matt 13:51-52: - 51 Jesus said to them, "Have you understood all these things?"
They said to Him, "Yes, Lord."
52 Then He said to them, "Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old."
What was brought out of the householder's treasure?
Yes I am fully aware of the Mosaic Covenant and the Abrahamic Covenant. The Mosaic Covenant was an extension of the Abrahamic Covenant spelling out how the Covenant would fully work within the Hebrew children. So circumcision and the sabbath are both signs of the Old Covenant. Notice too that circumcision is the sign of the old covenant that is discussed in the new testament. That is the one that Paul keeps referring back to in multiple epistles to give the comparison from the way things were to the way things are.Genesis 17:10-12 (Covenant between God and Abraham)
10 This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; 11 and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. 12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.
Exodus 31:13
13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
You may be looking so closely at the trees, you can't see the forest. It is plain as day.
