Why does Brian, or anyone, need to repent regarding belief in the Shroud?
Are you one of those persons that hides his head in the bible and never comes up for air
and can't believe ANYTHING unless it was written in the bible?

Well, surprise, there's a whole world waiting for you out there....
You might want to start with church history...this is also not found in the bible.
The Crusades are not found in the bible either, but if the other side had won, you might be speaking Arabic.

The shroud should be examined scientifically.
As to biblically being correct...
IT IS.

Anyone who have an erroneous belief about the gospel must repent, be it because of the shroud or something else.

I believe in the truth revealed in scriptures, and in the creation.

Regarding the shroud, it's not really about what science can prove or not prove, but what one makes out of the shroud to be and what doctrines one makes out and believes because of it.

As for me, I always go first to scriptures in the examination of the truthfulness of such things.

I did watch the video and I was favorably impressed, but as I said somewhere before that makes no difference in whether I believe in God and His Son or not. It does not even change much in the details of what I do or do not believe. Only God gives any of us a real increase. If I were not favorably impressed I doubt that my position would be different. There have always been dishonest people for any number of reasons. That is the nature of the beast in man. Trust only and always God alone. When people are really trustworthy in any measure, I believe that there is a measure of God in them. Will that measure save them in the end? Not my call!
