Personal Statement of Faith: I grew up in church from the time I was a baby until I was 18 years of age. I "accepted Christ" several times during that 18 years on this earth, but I never really wanted him to change me. I wanted others to think I was saved, and that's all that mattered to me. It took until 5 months ago to realize that I wasn't really saved. I realized I wasn't saved because I began reading the scripture and Jesus' picture on salvation was faaaaar different from that of my own. Matthew 28:18-20 describes that for us. The ways we must live. In that chapter Jesus had been resurrected and came to meet up with the disciples, and explained to them what they must do-Make disciples upon the nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and to teach them the commands he had given them. That was what I was lacking. I didn't lack the faith in Christ, it was the relationship with him I was lacking. --- You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. - Matthew 7:16 NLT.
