Personal Statement of Faith
Accepted the Lord in 1983 while recovering from appendectomy. Child of missionary parents (SIM) who had become pretty good at playing Christian without actually being Christian.<br /><br />While in bed rest, without the distractions that normally crowded out the voice of the Holy Spirit, I was forced to confront the truth that my religiosity wasn't sufficient to make me righteous; and during that time I asked God to forgive me - not because of my own goodness, but because of Christ's sacrifice on my behalf.
