How do you become content with all the differing views?

Thank you for the lengthy post. I agree with your sentiment, however I was specifically talking about all the differing views in the body of Christ, some of which are quite significant differences.

Do you ever find yourself frustrated at things you shouldn't?

    Definitely anxiety, ocd, probably ADHD

Do you ever find yourself frustrated at things you shouldn't?

If a prayer goes on longer then in my mind it should, or if a sermon goes on and on, I find myself getting frustrated. I am assuming a wiring issue with my personality. Do you find this to happen

    Is this a legitimate feeling?

I'm an accomplished strength athlete and have in the past enjoyed showing my feats etc...deep down I have often thought how terrible I would feel if someone struggling in life were to see my achievements and felt bad. In fact bragging or people thinking I am boasting has always made me feel...

How do you become content with all the differing views?

I understand but what about when those differences are as serious as whether salvation is given or not? Baptism, no baptism etc

How do you become content with all the differing views?

Posted a few times how I struggle with certainity due to ocd, an analytical mind etc.. For the "normal" person how are you content in being strong in your particular view of Christianity when others are so adamant that their side is correct, and when also these views are quite big deals in the...

Did the good Samaritan enter paradise?

Assuming the story of the good Samaritan was literal, did the good Samaritan enter paradise? He was of another religion. Under the assumption he remained in the other religion would he have gone to be with Jesus? If that story was duplicated today and 2 non Christians passed someone suffering...

Is it the thorn in my side?

I'm not really sure where to post this topic, but since I frequent this the most I chose here. I have posted before on my brain wiring...struggling with ocd, anxiety, etc and in turn making "certainty", "knowing", impossible for me( I do realize many say certainty shouldn't be looked for that's...

Does this sound like anyone here?

Thank you for the response, I always say I really hope my hope is enough of faith.

    Anyone else?

Thank you for sharing that... Are you in your head a lot with those same issues I deal with? If not what have you done to help guide yourself that way?

    Anyone else?

I have considered myself a Christian for a long time. To make a long story short I am very analytical, suffer from OCD/anxiety which is a tough combination with wanting certainity. I spend day and night in my head "trying" and "wanting" to have that assurance that so many seem to have but it is...

    What is being a Christian?

I have considered myself a Christian for a very long time, but as someone who struggles with being analytical, mental illness issues, etc...i have to ask what exactly is being a Christian? Abiding by His word, is being a Christian putting yourself in a mental state to be a Christian? What do you...
