    Everyone Goes to Heaven

Not wanting to offend, but just asking; Do you really believe that God or Jesus ‘wrote’ anything down in ‘the bible’? I think the bible says “all Scripture was INSPIRED”. I see that as totally different from actually written. I do think the tablets of stone on mount sinai were actually’...

    Everyone Goes to Heaven

Great question. I'd say we're not talking about the prophets of the OLD covenant. We're talking about the prophets of the NEW covenant. What did Jesus say would happen to the stones of the OLD temple? GONE with the judgment of GOD through the armies of TITUS. WHY?.....because the...

    Apokatastasis in the early church

Steven!!! You left out my favorite BOAT in the ocean of UNIVERSALISM....that being ULTIMATE RECONCILIATION. Shame on you St. Steven. :hmhehm Oh well, at least we're in the right OCEAN now. Those floating around in the OCEAN of DENOMINATIONAL-ISM simply have not the eyes to see what we see...

Biden - It's not Easter! It's Transgender Day!

I know you tagged me for this a few pages back, but; EPH 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: IMO, God has seen the end from the beginning and "according to HIS purpose...

Does God care more for himself than he cares for us?

I wasn’t referring to the ‘mechanics’ of a thread, although you are right about that too. I have never started a thread on any of the Christian forums. But even the content of the subject I mentioned is a weak one for me. So please feel free to do what you are so good at with my blessing...

Does God care more for himself than he cares for us?

You are speaking of a 'FIGURE OF SPEECH', mentioned in the book; I thought Jesus was the LIGHT of the world. JOH 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Now I find He is...

Does God care more for himself than he cares for us?

I don't have enough command of this to do anything IMO. o_O I will say/type this, from page 2 of the topic in the BOOK; "Of the vast importance of figure of speech in interpretation, there can be no question. In the Reformation a single metaphor, "this is My body," led to conflicts and...

Does God care more for himself than he cares for us?

And I feel like 100% of what God wants to communicate will be done by revelation from God, concerning ‘whatever’ is written. How many pages/stones did it take GOD to, with “the FINGER OF GOD”, write 10 commandments that lasted 1500 years? ;)

Does God care more for himself than he cares for us?

Just reading, in the 'Concordant Literal Translation' Appendix concerning 'Figures of Speech'. Which was something I thought I knew a little about.....Oh my...how little I did understood is becoming very apparent. I am on page 4 of 15 pages on FIGURES OF SPEECH. The second paragraph of page...

Does God care more for himself than he cares for us?

I 'THINK' there was a recent thread as to whether 'the WHOLE BOOK' was the infallible , inerrant, straight from the mouth of God, inspired, word for word...."WORD of GOD". Or something to that effect. So now does 20% really make a ripple in the water? :hmhehm

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

I agree. This is where it is more complicated IMO. I believe Peter said "Repent, then get baptized, then receive the holy spirit" then he said; "save yourselves from this wicked generation." So were they saved or not? I would agree there too. Going to heaven was His meritorious work done for...

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

Your opinion. My opinion disagrees. My security; ROM 8:38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love...

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

That's my contention. Accept Jesus and ALL sins totally forgiven FOREVER. And you have a clean slate But, the first time you do sin you now fall back under the TEMPORAL consequence for sin, which is 'ultimately' physical death. You are still under the ETERNAL forgiveness of the cross. So...
