Joseph Mitchell | Author Biography

Joseph Mitchell is an American author, U.S. Air Force veteran, software engineer, and lifelong student of Scripture, history, science, and the human condition.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, in 1963 and raised in Southeast Texas, Joseph's life has been shaped by military service, technological innovation, family, and an enduring search for truth. His service in the United States Air Force, including the Gulf War era, gave him a firsthand perspective on duty, sacrifice, and the consequences of human decisions.

As a senior software engineer, Joseph has spent decades designing systems, solving complex problems, and exploring the relationship between human reasoning, technology, and artificial intelligence.

His Christian faith is deeply rooted in Scripture, particularly the words of Jesus. Rather than accepting inherited interpretations without examination, Joseph explores the original languages, historical context, and recurring patterns connecting Genesis to Revelation. His approach combines analytical reasoning with a contemplative understanding of God as Spirit, Light, and Life.

Writing under the name Joseph Mitchell, he is the author of The Empty Scroll and the Message in a Bottle trilogy, including Hourglass and Dark Horse availiable on Amazon. His fiction blends human experience, mystery, historical events, prophecy, and philosophical inquiry, inviting readers to consider questions of existence, free will, faith, and eternity.

Above all, Joseph is a husband, father, grandfather, and seeker of understanding who believes that the most important truths may not be hidden at all—only waiting to be recognized.
