Homosexuality: Is it the way a person is born?

People may be born gay. We all are born with particular God-given weaknesses that we are to overcome and endure. "My grace is sufficient for you." being gay is not a sin, giving in to the temptation and living thelifestyle, practicing the act is a sin. But it ain't theworst sin (not even close)...

    Healed but not saved?

The Rotherham's Emphasized reads verse 19 as: "...thy faith hath saved thee." Why did he use "saved" instead of "made whole"(KJV). Because he was consistant with his translation. Throughout the rest of the NT the Greek word for "saved" is Sozo. Sozo is the word used for salvation in Christ. Why...

    Healed but not saved?

Yes, MORE blessed are we who believe without seeing. As Jesus also said, "More blessed are those who do the Fathers will then the woman who nursed him" and "those least in the kingdom are greater than the greatest of all prophets, John" Yes, we who have faith, and believe in Christ are blessed...

    Healed but not saved?

And they will! When they see him face to face, though they may be in unbelief now, when they see his hands (like Thomas) they will say, "my Lord and my God." (Phil 2:9-11)

    Healed but not saved?

Jesus was asked "How do I inherit eternal Life"? Jesus answers the question with a story, a story of a good Samaritan (today we would call him a Muslim). This story in Luke 10 points to a truth many christians refuse to hear. In chapter 9 Jesus is rejected by the Samaritans, and in John 4 He...

    Healed but not saved?

Is it possible to cry out to the Lord for mercy, receive healing, but not be saved? In Luke 17:12-19, ten men cry out for mercy, they all get healed (restored), but only one "gets saved". What is this salvation that Jesus speaks of?

    Context! Context! Context!

Wormwood, what do you do with verse 25? "Let THEIR encampment..." who is the "their" IN CONTEXT? It is the enemieswhich "hate without a cause". This MUST be taken OUT OF CONTEXT to mean "their" as the disciples. And again in verse 28, let not THEIR names be written in the book of life, again...

    Context! Context! Context!

Ok, I started this thread talking about Acts 1.20, claiming Peter took Psalms 69 OUT OF CONTEXT and going back and reading it again there is no doubt! Psalm 69 (in context) is obviously David crying out to Yahweh for help against his enemies. But, as we all know this psalm is prophesying about...

    Denying Reality

What "reality" and what "fantacy" are you talking about? I agree, God doesn't care about what you know or don't know, He only cares about your heart of passion towards Him and your heart of compassion towards others. I would like you to be a little more specific about the point you are making....

Discipleship forum - Your one thing?

You're absolutely right...at least ONE THING at a time. (we all have much more than just one thing, but its smart to tackle just one thing at a time)

Why Did Jesus Christ Speak Ini Parables?

Jesus/Yahshua spoke in parables because He is the I AM/Yahweh, Jehovah God of the OT who also spoke in parables. The entire BIBLE is a parable, every story, each law and prophecy. Ask and it will be given to you. The Holy Spirit will reveal Himself to all who search and knock and pray and study...
