Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

The fact is that the Greek word, baptizo, does NOT only mean “to immerse”. There is not a single verse in Scripture that says one has to be immersed for a proper baptism......It's simply NOT there. I appreciate the debate. I will stick with facts instead of your opinion.

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

Scripture says entire families were baptized....Are you saying there were no infants in entire families? If infant baptism was invented by the early Catholic Church then you agree that the Catholic Church started before 189AD? The Catholic church does proselytize.....Why do you spread false...

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

We are the same person, in spirit and truth. We both repeat the truth over and over and over again which has been revealed to us by the pillar and foundation of truth: The Church. Right @BreadOfLife ?

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

Ummmm.....The Church is biblical and the pillar and foundation of truth......Just like Scripture says. And if you refuse to adhere to Church teaching The Church can kick you out (Matthew 18). Soooo The Church CAN save somebody.....if you adhere to the teachings of The Church. Which...

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

Jesus claimed we are born again in baptism: John 3:5 sooooo us Catholics (and Orthodox and some Protestant denominations) agree with Jesus. Apparantly you don't. Non biblical foolishness according to WHO? You? Or do you follow the teachings of a certain denomination? Curious Mary

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

Lol.....NOPE. It was the Protestant "belief system" that "changed and perverted the baptism process" in the 16th century. Catholics, Orthodox and SOME Protestant denominations adhere to the earliest "baptism process" that started in the 1st century. Thanks for your time..........Mary

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

Thanks DJT. You articulated your position very well and I respect that. FYI.....Many in the early church, during the lives of the Apostles, considered The Didache scripture and it was in the running to be included in our current bible. So for you to call it a "headache" is degrading and...

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

Hi Grailhunter, Jesus says a man should be joined to his wife, and they will become one flesh (Matt. 19:3-6) and Jesus defines adultery as even looking at another woman lustfully (5:27-28). Paul commands that “each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband” (1 Cor. 7:2)...

Infant Baptism is not given in scripture.

I know you didn't say that. The point is that Christening is a new concept created by modern day (within the last 500 years) Christian denominations and it is not based on the teachings of Scripture. It is based on the teachings of men, and you "agree" with this teaching of men. Mary

A New Pope is Elected After Catholic Cardinals Reportedly Consulted 'Conclave' Film Before Vote

I respect your opinion and I was surprised by the outcome of the movie. I researched the Conclave process and compared it to the movie....it seemed pretty accurate.

A New Pope is Elected After Catholic Cardinals Reportedly Consulted 'Conclave' Film Before Vote

What's hard to believe? That ONE unidentified "cleric" allegedly told a Politico reporter that SOME cardinals have watched it. Or that SOME Cardinals have watched it to learn the process of the Conclave? I watched it and researched the Conclave process. Apparently, it is a very accurate...

A New Pope is Elected After Catholic Cardinals Reportedly Consulted 'Conclave' Film Before Vote

Oh goodness. Here is what the article said: “Some have watched it in the cinema,” a cleric involved in the real thing admitted to POLITICO. Soooo ONE unidentified "cleric" allegedly told a Politico reporter that SOME have watched it. What's the purpose of this thread? :IDK: Curious Mary
