When Jesus "took away" your sin, did He leave behind the source, the sin nature?

Sorry, I posted all the verses I referenced but it was too long. I tried again, more issues. Galatians Romans 2 Corinthians Hebrews That should get you pointed in the right direction

When Jesus "took away" your sin, did He leave behind the source, the sin nature?

And what of the flesh? If we are to crucify the flesh daily, by implication, the flesh is still very much alive. Paul made claims to a clear conscience, he also made it quite clear that there was a law in his members that when he desired to do good, evil was ever present. The body of death he...

    The Chosen

"an irreverent portrayal of Jesus" I find your attitude to be an irreverent portrayal of Jesus, and a betrayal of how He taught us to live. 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 4 Love suffers long, and is kind. Love does not envy. Love is not contrary, does not swell up, 5 does not deal dishonourably, seeks...

A rail road tie. Those big beams they lay the tracks on, heavy.

    The Chosen

They don't see the world like we do, they don't see Christ like we do. Its all about the rules, the doctrines and the dogmas etc. If Jesus passed them on the street they probably wouldn't even recognize Him. If He preached in their churches, they would run Him out the door and down to the edge...

Thank you. As it turns out, I dropped a cross tie on my foot the other day, and I have some time on my hands. God be praised, no broken bones.

That's a wonderful testimony. Thank you for sharing what God is doing in your life.

There really are too many such emotional scenes to mention them all. Be careful suggesting that Our Loving Father could ever have an emotion other than anger or righteous indignation. Zephaniah 3:17

We can't Earn : What is FREE

In my younger days I pounded the table for obedience and personal purity. "Without holiness, no one will see the Lord." Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness." Etc. In my later years I have come to realize that holiness is less about perfecting the flesh, much less, and more like being as...

    I'm such a newb...

I wouldn't know where to begin. Its a very personal thing, which of course is why I suggested a private conversation. I am unworthy to speak on the topic publicly, but I will give your suggestion some thought, and prayer. :-)

    Does Grace replace the law?

Not to detract, from an otherwise fine post. It is my understanding that Christ did not abolish the Priesthood, but established it eternally, Himself as High Priest, and us His Body, a nation of priests.

    I'm such a newb...

Do you think that starting a topic on prayer could become a discussion about how we have all experienced God through prayer? I'm sure there is plenty of variety, method, and opinion. That would be useful., Or would it quickly degenerate into a debate? My guess, is that it wouldn't get much...

    Does Grace replace the law?

No one who has truly been the beneficiary of Gods saving grace desires to live in sin, no one. And no one who desires to live a sinless life has ever come close to doing so other than Christ. I wish I could wrap my mind around why so much time is wasted debating these issues.
