I am a evolutionary creationist. I am really influenced and inspired by the work of people like Francis Collins, Tim Mackie, NT Wright , Edward Fudge, Pete Enns , John Walton and so many others. I think one of the best paradigms to understanding the Bible is through the teachings of Jesus Christ and his commands to love. He fulfilled and corrected so much of the mess due to the hardness of the human heart in the tankh.

Besides theology I am big into science. My favorite subjects are botany, evolutionary ecology, coevolution and that’s not simply because of my outdoorsy love of understanding what I am looking at when foraging and hiking, and it’s not just because I enjoy natural history. It’s all driven by my desire to be a good steward of God’s creation through helping combat environmental issues that affect our wildlife. I love making backyard residential gardens that overlap the function and beauty of civilization and wilderness.

I’m also a huge horror nerd. I watch horror movies from the early 1900s to those I get lucky enough to see early before hitting mainstream theaters. I like silent, black and white and highly digitalized horror. Though my preferences for sub genres are lovecraftian, slow burn, 1950s-60s sci fi horror , 80s SFX gore and modern day body horror films.
