Born again Christians DO NOT USE psychotropic drugs OF ANY KIND.

Here are some examples of psychotropic drugs:

Caffeine (coffee, decaffeinated coffee, tea, caffeinated soda, energy drinks, chocolate, etc).

Alcohol (wine, beer, or ANY OTHER SOURCE, including flavor extracts and cough syrup).

Psychiatric medication (ANY OF THEM).

Nicotine (cigaretts, gum, patches, chew or any other form of tobacco).

Narcotic pain killers (morphine, fentanyl, oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc).

Anxiety medication (Xanax, Ativan, etc).

Traditional drugs (cannabis, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, etc).

----------

Born again Christians KNOW that using psychotropic drugs IS A SIN known as "works of the flesh":

----------

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:16-21

In Galatians 5:20, the greek word used for "witchcraft" is "pharmakeia" - the use of medicine, drugs or spells.

----------

ALL born again Christians have this written in their hearts already - ONLY FAKE CHRISTIANS USE PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS; if you see a so called "Christian" drinking coffee or cola, or smoking a cigarette, you can rest assured knowing that they are a FAKE CHRISTIAN -- that the Holy Spirit of God DOES NOT LIVE INSIDE THEM.

The only exception to this, is someone that has only RECENTLY became born again; over a SHORT time, almost ALL of those that have been born again will STOP consuming caffeine, alcohol, and all other psychotropic drugs - God's Holy Spirit WILL NOT ALLOW IT.

If a born again Christian continues to use psychotropic drugs, God will 100% DESTROY THEM AND SEND THEM TO HELL!

----------

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

----------

If you disagree with anything that I said, it's because you're NOT born again - God's Holy Spirit does NOT live inside you, and when you die, you'll go directly to Hell.

You must STOP SINNING - DO what The Lord Jesus Christ tells you to do, or go to the Lake of Fire!

----------

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Luke 6:46

----------

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:22

----------

Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Proverbs 13:13

----------

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Hebrews 5:9

----------

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:15-23

----------

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Ezekiel 18:4

----------

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Isaiah 58:1

----------

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

1 Timothy 5:20

----------

Stop sinning, or go to the Lake of Fire...

Ah now @Mitch Etling that's where you're wrong because I drink coffee, tea, wine, beer and spirits and I know many others who do too.

Matthew 15:16-18
“Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.

Who are you @Mitch Etling to judge in such general terms. What sort of organisation do you belong to that teaches such rubbish? Jesus didn't teach those thing and nor did Paul. They both drank wine.

Although I do agree with you about the use of psychotropic drugs but not pain relief. And I do think that as Christians we should not abuse alcohol.

Alcohol is my no no. I used to drink a lot. I saw it wrecking my life and quit drinking. I have some severe pain issues now and if I started drinking I would probably drink myself to death in no time as it works better than anything for pain. I think alcohol, at least for me, is way too easy to abuse and it is better to avoid it all together.

Speaking of a shake, I had some coffee ice cream yesterday and the day before. Minimal caffeine, but still.

I wonder if my soul is in peril now.

Doesn't this passage seem to permit a little boozing?

“Go then, eat your bread in happiness and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works.”—Ecclesiastes 9:7

@Mitch Etling
As we follow the Lord in the Spirit in our hearts we may then judge rightly which way we are to walk, but that is me for me as it is you for you! It is not standing in a condemning judgement against for others. The others belong to God as we belong to God. Others who are not believing on Him are condemned already.

You, unless you be God, know little or nothing about where all of the others here are: Young in the Lord [which you mentioned in one place] or working as a different part of the Body of Christ. Are you presuming to work as the Head? There is only one Head of the Body of Christ, that is Jesus. Preachers and teachers are not condemn. They are to warn and to teach but without condemnation. They also are not God nor His Son nor the Holy Spirit as we are not!

Whose heart here have you known so well as to see their sin to rebuke them? You may have decided what is sin for you, but how can you decide that for others who often are also hearing from God themselves? Should you use the determinations of men and their science to stand in God's place to make judgements against others deciding what is or is not sin for them?

No one here, I believe, has submitted themselves to you as a leader or pastor, teacher or any such thing. Follow the Lord, but be careful about taking as your own things which God has not given to you.

Give God the glory!

Well said. Have you noticed that Mitch has just come on board and posted about half a dozen threads already? At this rate his threads will dominate the scene.

I've posted much more than him, so does that mean you feel the same way about my activity? I'm trying to contribute to the forum. What's wrong with that?

He may either get tired and lighten up or he may bend the rules too much and find himself on the outside looking in. I don't wish that for him, but he may bring it upon himself.

A third option would be for him to really submit himself to God instead of trying to lead the way himself.

As long as it's not more than three per household.
I think, though I don't pay much attention to it.

I'm not certain, but I'm beginning to think that maybe Mitch might have been taught by someone who misunderstood what they were reading.
