I just had half a bottle of Dr Pepper.
:(
Guess I'm doomed to the lake of fire. Funny...I never even saw soda mentioned among the deadly sins.

Not using drugs is a good thing. But it's not gonna be the deciding factor in whether you go to heaven.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Alcohol (wine, beer, or ANY OTHER SOURCE, including flavor extracts and cough syrup).

really? do YOU accept the Teachings of the Holy Bible, even when they disagree with your beliefs? Here is on verse that destroys what you say on alcohol:

"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18)

Notice what Paul says here, "do not be "μεθύσκω" with wine", which does NOT mean, "do not DRINK", but as the Greek says, "do not become INTOXICATED with wine". The wine must have alcohol present in it, to make a person "drunk". Paul's language clearly says that they wine that was used by Christians, was not the the ZERO alcohol ones, but they were able to make a person DRUNK, which he advices against! You have quoted from the Greek, now disprove what I have said. ;)

For John the Baptist came neither eating nor drinking and you said look, he is possessed by a demon. And the son of man came eating and drinking, and you said look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of sinners. But wisdom is proven right by all her children.
That says it all right there. Thanks.
Eating and drinking.

See this is what gives holiness movements a bad name.

Next thread is about how to dress...what shoes to wear...hair styles etc...

None of these things has to do with whether a person is walking in holiness or not.

The OP is trying to create a disturbance by mixing and mashing things together to give a dramatic effect.

O yeah...other things to avoid...musical instruments? Listening to any songs other than by stylings of the Morton tabernacle choir or Van Healing, or Grant Amy.

Jesus drank alcohol.
It appears that Jesus may have drunk wine, but it's also believed that the alcohol content was much lower in their wine compared to nowadays; one should do their own research. But, for sure, Jesus did not get drunk.

Did Jesus get buzzed?

What do you think his BAC could have been?

Did He attribute to drunken friends and minors?

Or, did He just make grape juice?

Carbonated soft drinks? Really?

Medications were given to man by God for the purpose of healing. And even the4 psychotropics when under a physicians care can be a life saving therapy. When one has suffered physical trauma to the brain, various antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds can resote teh chemical balance in the brain. I am not talking the heavy duty ones like Haldol, Thorazine etc. but things like atavan, effexor. also, when one has undergone deep emotional truama, a temporary therapy of these mild meds can help them cope with the severe trauma until they can regain control.

What do you make of this?

John 2:10 NIV

after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

Thing I’ve always found interesting is the water he transforms to wine is in the pots all the guests had previously washed their hands in.

Interesting indeed. Winemakers take note.
You seem to have washed your hands of my question. (inferred)

You wrote:

I responded:

How do we know when the guests have had too much to drink?
From drinking the choice wine first. what was being offered was "the best" compared to the "choice wine".

What should we infer about alcohol content?

Here's another one to consider. What was John not eating, or drinking?

Matthew 11:18-19 NIV
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,
‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’
But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”

I’d say Judaism.

Yeah, Jesus somewhat participated in their religious delusions, for a little while.

Yeah, Jesus somewhat participated in their religious delusions, for a little while.
Why would they call Jesus "a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners" for that?

Matthew 11:18-19 NIV
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,

Probably belongs to one of these cult religions like JW that ban those sorts of things and call them sinful.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

----------

If you disagree with anything that I said, it's because you're NOT born again - God's Holy Spirit does NOT live inside you, and when you die, you'll go directly to Hell.

You must STOP SINNING - DO what The Lord Jesus Christ tells you to do, or go to the Lake of Fire!

----------

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Luke 6:46

----------

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:22

----------

Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Proverbs 13:13

----------

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Hebrews 5:9

----------

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:15-23

----------

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Ezekiel 18:4

----------

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Isaiah 58:1

----------

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

1 Timothy 5:20

----------

Stop sinning, or go to the Lake of Fire...

Load of rubbish. It is the attachment to desire that is sin. Not desire itself. Addiction is considered sin where as simply using something is not.
