I have not heard of Charles Stanley, I have listened to some of Joel Olsteen. John and Lisa Bevere have inspired me over the years, and Terry Virgo ( He is British and set up a Church where I live, but an author of many books ) A.W Tozer is someone who has also inspired me .. reading one of his books at the moment.
I think I have been inspired by so many different people over the years that it would be I possible to list them all.

They're amazing. I learned so much from Joel Osteen and Charles Stanley. The time I watched them was when I could still see Charles Stanley's archives from 2007. Who do you like? Or has impacted you?

Not too many TV ministers I am into these days, but that's because I'm rather advanced theologically now. But I find Robert Morris worth a watch sometimes. Adrain Rogers was solid when he was around. Andrew Wommack can be ok when he's not too far off into Faith theology, and Kirt Schneider can be ok as well.

But what you want to do is study the Bible for yourself in the midst of watching sermons you like. The more you do your own Bible study and reading, the more you will start to see things from your own perspective, after letting the Lord teach you Himself. :)

I watched Joel Osteen today and it was about that God doesn't only listen to prayers, He is moved by our faith so we have to swing our sword (action)

Well that's true actually. You want to grow to where you not only pray for things, but have the faith to believe God that what you are praying for will come to pass. Now that also takes knowing the will of God for your life, and knowing the difference between one's own personal desires and spiritual ones that come from the Spirit of God. But discerning such things comes with time. :)

In the meantime, just keep growing in Christ and learning, and you will get there for sure.

Never heard much of their preaching so do not know. Thelord's_pearl.

The two teachers that were learned from was a man named Paul Washer. (From youtube)
Then another man who came a long later in life, name Shawn Mcranney ~ (From Heart of the Matter on youtube)

Each teacher had an effect on me. Stuck with Shawn much more longer; and Shawn taught me how important it was to give glory, praise, towards God, and towards the Lord Jesus Christ.

With Shawn going over the bible verse by verse, helped me understand a lot more about the bible and what is being said, by asking questions of who, what, when, how, why, and when learning what is being said in the bible helps us in our lives even more so as we learn from God and the Lord Jesus Christ by the spirit that indwells us, which is received from the Lord Jesus Christ who receives the spirit to give by and from the Father.

All praise be to God, and the Lord Jesus Christ for what they are able to do in an individuals life which is causing change into a new creation through having belief, faith, trust and confidence in God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God the Lord of Lord, and King of Kings.

You can call it a smear or you can call it the truth. Osteen is a false teacher, and that is not just my opinion.

What is more likely:
A. The largest church in America is false; or
B. Some pastors are jealous of Osteen’s amazing success?

Doesn't Osteen teach the prosperity gospel?

That could be accurate. Osteen hinself said he likes to focus on the positive.

My church has decided to not focus on sin on the congregation, calling it Gods job to convict the heart of others; that condemning is not the way to win people over.

Osteen’s messages are uplifting and I’d rather hear it than why we are failing and going to hell in a hand basket.

I have heard him preach once and it was very uplifting but if he is focusing on worldly success I think it is not good. The love of money is the root of all evil. Could it be the church of Laodicia?

No. We do not need to talk about personal jealously or vendettas. We simply need to examine the actual WORDS AND ACTIONS of Joel Osteen in the light of Scripture. Does he preach the Gospel of Christ, or does he preach the Prosperity Gospel or "another gospel"? Does he preach repentance or not?

When any preacher becomes a public figure it is his duty to adhere strictly to the Word of God, and it is the duty of every Christian to carefully examine what is being presented, since Christ has warned us of wolves in sheep's clothing.

So let's take just ONE example. I am quoting this from another website, which quotes the exact words of Osteen [with emphasis added by myself]:

'...Below is an excerpt from Osteen’s book, Daily Readings from Become a Better You: 90 Readings to Improve Your Life Every Day, that shows the danger of his teaching. In this excerpt, he refers to Genesis 3, a foundational chapter in the Bible that establishes the sinfulness of humanity and our need for a Savior:

“Back in the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they hid. In the cool of the day, God came to them and said, ‘Adam, Eve, where are you?’ They said, ‘God, we were hiding because we were naked.’

I love the way God answered them. He said, ‘Adam, who told you that you were naked?’ In other words, who told you that something was wrong with you? God immediately knew that the enemy had been talking to them.

God is saying to you today, Who told you that you don’t have what it takes to succeed? Who told you the best grades you could make in school were Cs rather than As? Who told you that you’re not attractive enough? Who told you that your marriage is not going to last? Who told you something was wrong with you? Those are lies from the Enemy. You need to reject those ideas and discover what God says about you..."

The Anti-Gospel Message of Joel Osteen

What has Joel Osteen done here? He has totally perverted the significance of what God said to Adam after Adam and Eve had sinned.
He has totally twisted what that question from God meant. Those who are familiar with Genesis 3 know that it is about the Fall -- the disobedience of Adam and Eve. As soon as they disobeyed God they experienced (1) guilt, thus hiding themselves from God and (2) shame, thus trying to cover their nakedness. THIS WAS A CONSEQUENCE OF DISOBEDIENCE to God's command that they were not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This was their personal knowledge of evil. They had done evil, and they were experiencing the results.

But what has Osteen done? He is actually mocking God, by suggesting that God did not want Adam and Eve to know that they had actually sinned and feel guilt and shame! According to Osteen, God was telling them that it was the Enemy who had told them they were naked, when they were perfectly fine. The issue of sin and disobedience is not even touched upon. Instead Osteen is telling his readers that you should not feel bad about yourself based upon this incident. Can anyone believe that a vaunted preacher of the Gospel has absolutely no clue about Genesis 3? Or is this not clear evidence of a false teacher and a false preacher, trying to tickle the ears of his audience?

I have absolutely no interest in Osteen, and since you tried to suggest I was smearing him, you needed a rebuttal. Osteen is smearing himself.

Joel Osteen taught me so much about how God works. He made me be able to stand and helped with my ways of how I think about God now. He's so insightful and he had a sermon about 'You have inside information' to trust your instincts. I love him! I love Charles Stanley. He's very scriptural. I saw his earlier sermons. They were amazing!

People beware of these tv preachers. Those who seek money to tell you things about God are wrong. Christ said freely have you received - freely give it to others. I listened to some of them and they spend more time seeking money than telling you the truth in God. They preach Christ for personal gains. Be careful who you listen to.

From what I heard, Joel Osteen does not take any money out of the offerings for himself, the money he makes is through book sales.
