There's a song on one of my old children's cassette tapes that goes like that but I can't find it on YouTube. Maybe you might have heard it before but it goes;

Honesty is the best policy, be honest in all you do.
Tell the truth and treat people fairly,.. and they'll do the same for you!

An example of some theological discussions :

"The sky is blue."
"No, the sky is not blue."
"Well, it's blue sometimes isn't it?"
"Nope, never been blue."
"Really?"
"Yyyyyyup! Never been blue!"

Intellectual dishonesty reigns supreme in some peoples' minds; what's odd is I guess they believe if they don't admit they're erring then that means they're right? Why do people lie? Fear? Stupidity? Honesty is the best policy even when it threatens your (pride) theological framework.

How can somebody argue with that though? The sky is blue and I do believe that's why water is blue because it refracts light from the sun and the sky or something.

Exactly. You can show someone, over and over and over and over, a basic self evident truth and they may deny it to protect their theology. It's annoying when people just refuse to acknowledge what is plain.

I've heard that people didn't start recognizing the sky as blue hundreds of years ago, before blue was more common. Children know the sky is blue because their parents tell them that it is.

Moments of "crazy" are irritating. You come out of it and wonder "what in the world?" Makes me feel a bit foolish. Kinda wonder how I ever believed some things.

Hilarious. What's even funnier is when you actually chop a chicken's head off and how they run around, "like a chicken with it's head cut off, blood spurting everywhere." But the best thing is, then you get to eat it. I like chicken.
