God just used me today to cast a demon out.

Hello forum!
I have to share this because it relates to the thread I created about demons.

I was at a friends house where her and her daughter live.
We were visiting and sharing testimony of what God has done in our lives....unaware I said something and Sissy (fictional for privacy) sat there and was meditating on it and suddenly out of nowhere jumped up screaming and grabbed a knife and began violently running the blade across her arms...she was fixing to go to her neck and I said STOP! You foul spirit! Come out of her now and cease your torment on her in the authority and power of the name of Jesus! The Lord Rebuke you!....(she ran into the bathroom screaming and cursing) and I stood outside the door and continued saying I believe in the power of the Blood of Jesus, I plead the Blood of Jesus over her now, the blood of Jesus, the blood of Jesus to cover you, Sissy, from the top of your head to the soles of your feet....
Loose your hold on her now you unclean spirit! I call out to you Father, be merciful and deliver your child!
(I broke out praying in tongues for a minute) then I could hear her crying...
I said I ask you to comfort her now Holy Spirit....fill her with your joy and peace....and I ask in Jesus Name...thank you Father....all glory and praise belongs to you...and I said God is going to use you as a witness Sissy...rise up and walk in the freedom He has given you.

Then I told her, I love you, and your heavenly Father loves you.

I sat down...she came out of the bathroom smiling and her countenance completely changed....and her skin on her face was glowing and there wasn't a single blemish on it..(she had acne before)....her eyes were as bright as daylight....
When she opened her mouth to speak she said thank you....it's gone...that demon is gone...
I said oh sissy praise God and give Him the thanks....
And her voice was gentle, kind and you could hear the Spirit of God in her voice.

(She has a past history of cutting herself and suicide attempts....there a numerous deep scars on her arms from cutting herself...)

I was completely in awe of the transformation in her...

Praise God!

I need to add...the knife never broke through her skin.....it did leave deep impressions of a knife blade but no bleeding.
Amazing! Praise God!

Praise God indeed!

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power
.

(Psst.. Dont let it go to your head! :D )

Peace be with you!

Christ is risen!
Alleluia!
Yes . I beheld satan as lightning fall . Pride .
Yes i give you power over scorpions and etc
but rejoice not in this , but rather rejoice that your names are wrote in heaven .
Remember lucifer was given wonderful great gifts . But became enamored with THE GIFTS and SELF .
WE must be on guard at all times . For this often happens amongst men . God gives gifts
and then it goes to the head and they end up train wrecked just as satan did . WE must simply
REJOICE from humble hearts that GOD has even given us HOPE in CHRIST and that our names are wrote above .
Exalt the ONE who gives eternal life and gifts unto men for the purpose of building the body up and evangelizing .
But let it not go to our head for PRIDE was the very condemnation of the devil himself .
The gifts were not evil , BUT LUSTING after the power and becoming enamored with self , IS EVIL .

No Dan doesn’t get into a rage when he self harms, for him it’s a release of emotions ( difficult to explain )
However he does suffer mentally, so if his life was turned around like that ( which I honestly believe it will be one day ) I know how I would feel xxxx
Dan is in his own internal prison, and Jesus came to set the captives free - he asked for his own bible the other day, not sure he would be able to read the word if his problems were rooted in the same thing. I pray and take one step at a time, so my response was linked to how the mum would have felt xx

This is probably going to be hard to understand but I am going to share it anyway because it answered a problem I have had for years about a certain scripture ....
Romans 4:17
“(as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed--God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;”
— Rom 4:17 (NKJV)

God spoke things that didn't exist into existence...and that what is seen (physical realm) was created by what is not seen (spiritual realm)...
Faith is the substance of things hope for the evidence of things not yet seen...
So in essence having the knowledge of His Word to speak His Word with faith and pray and ask His Will over it assures us to be confident that the Word has Power to do what He intended it to do.
When He told me past, present and future co-exist I had to meditate on that....I said this is hard for me to comprehend Father, let me search it to know this is you speaking....I found it in Revelation....Jesus said I am He who was (past), who is (present) and who is to come (future)....
God exists outside of time which is why He is present everywhere....
But what I learned was speaking His Word by Faith (present) and expecting results(future).....
Speaking those things that are not as though they were....or in other words....applying my faith which is the substance of things hoped for....and expecting results....the evidence of things not yet seen.

The legion comes to mind when i hear of folks cutting themselves . He often cut himself with Stones .
I see demonic influence in and behind this cutting of self . Demons must be cast out .

Exactly...it makes me very uncomfortable when others give their thanks and praise to me....I said no, no please don't do this...give praise to God who works through us...I am nothing and have no power of my own....it was His power and I was just the vessel He used.

The Lord gave me insights many years ago, but my instruction was to concentrate on the Victory.
I have questioned ‘ timing ‘ as it’s been so long since those words were given to me, but Gods timing is not my timing .........within those words was a promise of complete restoration..........it’s a challenge to wait when you see someone you love suffering.......
I was so optimistic all those years ago, had high expectations of things happening quickly, so I have had to learn a few things along the journey myself.

If I may ask, would he or she get angry and go into a rage like she did or was it done quietly?
I don't think Sissy had a legion of demons, but then again I didn't ask its name....but the demon she had is similar to the one in scripture that called himself legion...
Mar 5 (NKJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹ Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes.
² And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
³ who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains,
⁴ because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.
And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
⁶ When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.
⁷ And he cried out with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me."
⁸ For He said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!"

Notice this person did "self harm"....which in reality it was a demon driving him to do it.

That is why the Word rose up in me and took control....911 wouldn't be able to help her she needed deliverance.

Sorry for all the typos
Legion wasn't one demon but many (enough to fill a herd of swine)

Yes indeed...I need to update everyone about Sissy...
She wanted to have a Bible study so I came over a week later and Dee, Sissy and I prayed then read the first 2 chapters of Acts. (They both were saved)...because they haven't received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.....
After reading the Word I asked them if they wanted to receive because the Word has just been spoken, your faith has increased by hearing, and now it's time to receive it with all your heart.
So we began to pray and Dee and Sissy both began praying in tongues instead of english....it was awesome that it was so easy for them....
(It took me a long time to finally receive the Holy Spirit)

I know this is easy for me to say but if you could see how puny and pitiful demons are you wouldn't be afraid...
Hollywood has caused people to fear them and Jesus said rebuke them...
They are so dependent on a human that they begged Jesus to cast them into swine...at least it would be a physical body...
They can't manifest their assigned task without a host to dwell in...
I personally believe many mental illnesses are tormenting spirits of the mind
I recently purchased a book for research purposes titled The Three Magical Books of Solomon, The Testament of Solomon & His Greater & Lesser Keys in One Volume, translated into English by Aleister Crowley, S.L.MacGregor Mathers & F.C. Conybear. I haven't finished reading it yet as it's very tedious reading, the first part resembling a data base file. I don't recommend it to the saints as it's far from Christian in content and is intended for use in conjuring or calling forth demonic entities to do your bidding. In other words it's a tool for sorcery that may be entirely the result of someone's imagination, but it is a very old book which has gone through a number of translations. I only bring it up because the first section identifies the names of principal spirits, their rank in the demonic hierarchy, sometimes their position before "the fall", their powers, their typical appearance in manifestation, their tendencies to lie or speak truth, the "gifts" they may bestow, the number of legions of spirits that they command, etc. Some are kings, some dukes, some princes, some marquis, and just looking at this list is enough to understand that the original authors believed that the kingdom of Satan is a reflection of the hierarchy of the kingdom of Heaven, with the most powerful beings at the top ranks and the least powerful serving in the lowest ranks.
The focus of scripture is on Christ, not the heavenly or demonic hierarchy so the scripture doesn't have much to say on the topic, but makes references in places that confirm the general idea, if not identifying all the host of heaven and their ministerial duties.
Again, everything in this book of sorcery could be a lie, or simply the result of the evil imaginations of men, but practitioners of "magical arts" have treated this work as real and as a basis for their sorceries for centuries, some portions having been traced back at least to the 16th century and possibly further.
The point I want to make is simply that while some of these spirits are relatively innocuous and mostly indifferent to humanity, having very little power and authority, others are both malevolent and extremely powerful.
Jesus Christ has authority over all of them, and if we have His Spirit, then we have a share in that authority which is manifested in the work of the Holy Spirit. Yet, there is still potentially great danger to those self deceived in their relationship (or lack of one) to Christ, in any attempt to expel or exorcise demonic entities. The book of the acts of the apostles gives us an example of Jewish exorcists that attempted to exorcise a demon in the name of Jesus, but were not born again believers and were badly beaten by the possessed man. Consider that the Gerasene demoniac couldn't be bound by chains. Ever break a chain by hand?
I'm not afraid of demons because I know the Lord, but I respect their power and authority because it was given by God and not something to take lightly.
" Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you! " Jude 1:9

When I was in my 40s, but still a babe in Christ, I was trying to go to sleep when I heard a voice in my head blaspheming Jesus. I was immediately sure that this voice wasn't just my own internal dialog because, like most newly born again souls, I had a great zeal and deep love for Christ. Any doubts that I had about the Lord in my youth were resolved before I received Him (and I don't believe that it's even possible to receive Him if you harbor any doubts about His person or the truth of the gospel). I concluded that the source of this unwelcome voice was demonic and immediately asked its name. I received no response back, but the voice went silent and I've never had a repeat of that experience. Perhaps I'd have gotten an answer if I had commanded the entity to tell me its name, but that might be a bad idea anyway. The book that I'm reading through, includes symbols associated with each "principal spirit" that are supposed to be worn as a sigil upon the sorcerer to somehow mediate the interaction between the sorcerer and summoned entity. In some cases there are specific warnings of evil consequences in attempting such communication without their appropriate sigil.
Many ancient peoples believed that they could command their gods (demons) by knowing their names and performing specific rituals, sometimes including blood sacrifices. Since demons are largely about deceiving people and keeping them from Christ, its hard to say where such ideas came from or if they had any merit at all. In the story of Elijah's confrontation with the priests of Baal, those priests cut themselves to make sacrifices of their own blood to get Baal's attention, but it was Elijah's offering that was consumed by the fire of God (leading to the execution of those priests.)
I found out some time later that I didn't need to know a name to command an unclean spirit to obedience. One day at work I was sitting down for lunch in our break room and sharing testimony with a coworker about the person of Christ, when another coworker, named Bill, started challenging me and my relationship with Christ. This fellow, Bill, was a bit of a shop disciplinary problem, frequently in some trouble with the shop supervision, belligerent, uncooperative, yet professing to be Christian and attending some Cultic church that used a very uncommon translation of the scriptures. While I'd been giving testimony, the word was flowing freely from me and I felt the heightened sense of spiritual awareness that I usually do when God's Spirit is moving in me. When Bill started casting aspersions on my testimony I felt a kind of righteous indignation well up in me and I uttered "we'll see who knows christ" and then spoke loudly to be heard "I command you to be silent in the name of Jesus Christ" and Bill's mouth immediately shut with an audible pop. It was almost funny, the secular guys were all looking a bit startled like "what just happened " and one of my Christian brothers noted that the spirits are subject to His Spirit, but Bill didn't say another word to me that day.
Strangely enough, when Bill was diagnosed with Melanoma, he ventured into our shop office to tell me and asked me to pray for him. Funny how that works!
Never did anything like that before and haven't had to do it again, but I'm pretty sure that such sign gifts are given to convict unbelievers present in the room, though I don't know if any of the secular guys ever turned to Christ.

Did you pray for Bill? That is an awesome testimony!
In the thread I created about battles, wars, victories and defeats I went on a mission to encourage others to be bold and don't let the enemy have any victories!
And in situations like what you experienced is an excellent example!
Oh and using a little humor I shared the history of what turned the tide for the US during WWII...we were losing because the enemy had broken our code....and wherever we had planned a strategic move to attack was intercepted by the enemy and by the time we arrived they were already in place and would ambush our military.
Well a man suggested using the Navajo Code because it was never written down and only those who had been taught knew it. So it was the Code Talkers who changed the direction of the war...and the moral of the story is we won the war because we had men who....ahem...SPOKE IN TONGUES!.....that is why we must pray in tongues...the enemy can't break the code and interfere with His Will in our lives.:)

Yes, I prayed for Bill on that occasion, not for his healing specifically, but for his acceptance of God's will in the circumstances regardless of the outcome. I spoke to him a number of times before and after the break room incident, arguing against his unusual understanding of scripture with Christ's own words and he was always receptive to the red letter text. We developed a relationship of mutual respect and when I had to give job assignments, I gave the man greater responsibility than the regular supervisors were inclined to trust him with. That's how I discovered that people will frequently live up to or down to your expectations of them when you've been placed in authority. I came to think of him as a friend, even inviting him over for dinner, but he declined (probably because his marriage was in trouble and he became separated from his wife and kids.) A little while after we'd prayed about his cancer, he confided in me that he wasn't going to undergo chemotherapy and was just going to let the disease run its course. He was prepared to die, to meet his maker, and to all observations it seemed like he'd made his peace with God. I believe that I would do the same in similar circumstances. He worked as long as he was able before "going out on sick leave" and passed about a year later. I was one of only a few people to attend his wake.
