"Lip Service", as you call it, or a profession of faith, but you aren't actually trusting Jesus,

OSAS goes against the Parable of the Sower found in Matthew 13:1–23, Mark 4:1–20, Luke 8:4–15.

Guess what?! Jesus does not value professions of faith but actually doing the will of God in Heaven. Matthew 7:21. How can you not get this?

being a new person is something done entirely for you by God.

Totally untrue! We have to first put in the work of actually believing. We have to first humble ourselves in truly inviting him to be our Lord and Savior. Here is where your contradiction is revealed. We can undo our own work that is a prerequisite to salvation.

Where we differ is when people don’t act differently anymore.
That would be in your opinions of your perceptions of someone, right?

I mean, there ARE people who claim to trust in Jesus, but later reveal it wasn't real for them. I remember a friend in high school, her words, I tried Jesus, but He didn't work for me.

When do you think God "undoes" begetting a child? Is it when you see them having a particularly bad month? Year? How is it you would know whether someone has been "unborn" from God?

God gives us many assertive statements which assure us the end result of our salvation is actually being saved. I find, both from Scripture, and in my life, that understanding this is key to our faith that actually gives us victory over sin in our lives.

It's in understanding that God has in fact rescued us for Himself, because we are what He wants, this liberates us from all legalistic thought, which drives our flesh to sin.

Much love!

Agreed. They don’t have the Spirit of the Lord, which is where Liberty will be found. And they certainly do not possess the Fruit of the Spirit!

You know this due to the many name calling posts. They should be ashamed of themselves. People are not saved by having right doctrine.

Believers with different doctrines should be treated as beloved brothers, not enemies because they are not enemies of Christ.
I doubt it is a cult, but because of the box in which one was taught to see through it may seem to have that cultic aspect.

Just be patient with people ...
I have been trying to show how foundation
Is important....

[First teaching]
As a Baptist Under my father I believed all I had to do was believe what Jesus did and I would have heaven when I died.

But then:

[2nd teaching]
I learned first we must believe who He was with the intent to follow. Not First trust what He did to secure Salvation.

Because the first thought Starts with Justification, Yet where is regeneration?

The second thought is as scriptures says..
After hearing and trusted>>> sealed with the Spirit
Or
Everyone who looks to the son and believes will have life....

Please don’t say that about the truth that in Christ, the child of God is safe and secured by faith.
Are you really saying none of these "MANY" who did all these things in the Name of Jesus were NEVER saved? How utterly ridiculous!

Matthew 7:22-23 (NKJV)
22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Why, was there in those scriptures that says that they have indeed cast out demons, prophesied, and done many wonders? Was there in those scriptures that tells us if it was the work of God that was performed through them? If there be any indication regarding that, can be found in v.23.

For some reason, lip service ranks high with OSAS. Jesus tells us and God tells us over and over again it is obedience that matters. Action is how you know it is real.

This is the lesson from the OT. It is real until their actions bring the wrath of God on them.

Yes.
The Same God who saved us with the Blood of Jesus, keeps us saved with the blood of Jesus.
Yes He keeps us saved but how?

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

The blood of Jesus saved us, 2000 Yrs ago.
The application of this Blood Atonement, happens the instant we "believe on the Lord".
So, being born again, is proof of Salvation and its proof that you have eternal life.
To "walk in Him" isn't about being good, but rather its about having the right type of faith that IS to walk in Christ.

All sin is gone, as it was resolved by Jesus.
What isn't resolved, is how we learn to exist in the right mind.
We are accountable for this situation, which is why we are told to "renew" our mind.
This is our part.

Agreed - as long as one stays obedient.

For some reason, you are not taking any responsibility for obeying the many commands given to believers and the many verses that say failure to obey is death, that lip service is insufficient.

So what do you regard their saying “ Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?”.
It means those folks had themselves fooled into thinking they were saved by relying on their own works.
One thing is sure, Jesus never knew them.

Another is that they were evil doers.

When they return to the sins of the flesh. Specifically, when they fail to repent of their sin.

And if you didnt repent of your works of the flesh, you are still just as born again as you were when you were a LOST sinner, and God saved you from your sin.

Heretics teach that ...>"God saved us, but when we sin later, we have to confess it, so that God can do again, what Jesus already did, 2000 yrs ago".
So, see that nonsense?
Dont believe that.

Believe that Jesus's one time sacrifice, is eternal, and if it is applied to you, then you are made eternally redeemed.
You dont confess sin later to keep that.
YOu always have that, based on God's making you righteous BY that Blood of Jesus, and keeping you so.

Now when you have time.
Read Romans 4:8.
It will tell you that God does not charge you ever again, with you sin.
So, if you are confessing what God does not charge you for, then you are both, theologically confused, and wasting your time.

My answer was after my question...
It is a passage in the Bible....
1 John 1:7
Yes He keeps us saved but how?

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
