Man says and teaches what he believes the Bible teaches and is saying.

God teaches us what the Bible truly says.

(1 John 2:27) “But you have not lost the anointing that he gave you, and you do not need anyone to teach you, the anointing he gave teaches you everything; you are anointed with truth, not a lie, and as it has taught you, so you must stay in him.”

(John 14: 23) “Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.”

And yet, public reading and teaching of Scripture is a Biblical concept commanded us.

1 Timothy 4:13
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.

First Timothy did not have our bible. Also Timothy did not need to be preaching to those who already were being taught by the Holy Spirit.

I am not saying that one should not listen to another person read scripture to him or her. I am saying that one should only let the Holy Spirit/Jesus explain what the Word mean for them.

Apostle Peter also told us to be mindful of what the OT prophets were given to write...

2 Pet 3:1-2
1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
(KJV)

The early Church in Paul's days DID have God's Word to read in the Churches; it was the Old Testament, mainly the Hebrew OT and Greek Septuagint (Greek Old Testament). Christ would call Paul to write most of the New Testament Books. But everything that was being fulfilled in their day was already written first in the Old Testament prophets, which is where Christ's Apostles referenced Scripture from when preaching in the New Testament. Prophecy in the OT prophets covers all the way past Christ's future return into God's Eternity.

It's correct that we DO need to ask our Heavenly Father for understanding in His Word, and to check His Word out for ourselves. That's very true. The Holy Spirit will help us in that, but only IF we listen.

Yet how is it that some who claim to have The Holy Spirit can also be deceived, like the five foolish virgins our Lord foretold of?

A Church that uses those verses from John, are they also saying the OT is now fulfilled dead history? Are they telling you Christ's Apostles and disciples did not have God's Holy Writ to read and study? Are they telling you that our Lord Jesus' second coming has already happenned today? Are they telling you we will be gathered to Christ PRIOR to the coming great tribulation? Are they telling you that you don't really need to study all The Bible, or that only a very small part of The Bible now applies to Christians, and the rest will be filled by The Holy Spirit?

First Timothy did not have our bible.

So, let me get this straight. Timothy didn't have the letter that Paul wrote to him?!?!?!?!?

Also Timothy did not need to be preaching to those who already were being taught by the Holy Spirit.

Paul didn't have such a low view of Scripture.

and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness

I personally have a very high regard for the bible. Jesus personally told me it is his writtenWord. What I don’t have a high regardfor is man’s interpretation of the written Word of God.

Most Christians believe is that Jesus/Holy Spirit isn’t observablein any practical sense. Their existence is speculative.

That is in my opinion is why there is so much division in theChristian Church.

Jesus told us his people would hear his voice, and he would callhis own out by name.

Jesus gave us his Holy Spirit, and Christians would be given giftsof the Holy Spirit. Some of those giftsare prophesy, tongues and interpretation of tongues. We were also told that the Holy Spirit would teach us everythingwe need to know about God.

Scripture tells us we would receive visions.

Jesus told us he and his Father would come make their home inus. Now if God is making a home in oneyou can be sure that they are observable to him or her.

Scripture tells us what I have just said, but if people share thatthey walk in those gifts, and God directly speaks to him or her, most otherChristians ridicule those people.

Church authority today will not accept people who are being led byGod.

I personally believe that to be true, because the church will loseits authority.

There are many people who try to tell others that the Holy Spirithas taught them and try to make people accept him or her as an authority. Well if all the Christians had a personalrelationship with Jesus, it would not take long for the liars to be exposed.

People should alsounderstand that one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is discernment. That is one powerful gift. It is a gift that all charlatans fear.

How do you know it's the Holy Spirit and not an evil spirit? Without the Bible, you don't.

Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
[sup]105 [/sup]Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Jesus told us to judge a tree by its fruit. The first step in judging if a spirit is ofGod or not, is to see if it agrees that Jesus came in the flesh, and is God.

The next step is to observe the fruits that are produced by onefollowing the Holy Spirit.

The bible was not assembledfor many years, and all those people before the bible did not need the bible tocome to God.

Being sarcastic and untruthful does not help anyone. My job is to give a word. It is your job togo to Jesus and see what he has to say to you.

The Holy Spirit once toldme that no matter who tells us anything about God we were to ask Jesus if it isright or wrong. By the way that announcementfrom the Holy Spirit includes me.

The bible was not assembledfor many years, and all those people before the bible did not need the bible tocome to God.

And guess what happened because they didn't have guidance?
False teachers were slipping in among them. They turned from the faith. They were deceived and lied to.

So what did the Apostles do by God's command? They wrote letters so they church knew what was good and what was bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why wouldn't they just accept "The HS told me"???? Because:
A) People lie.
B) Evil spirits can masquerade as the HS. The people were deceived... This means they thought it was of God but it was not. This is why you must weigh your own "revelation" against the Bible.

So the Apostles WROTE DOWN truths to these churches to be able to test weather what they were hearing was of God or not!

This is why, today, and for me, when you say "Jesus personally told me", I'm sorry, but you're just wasting breath by saying that.
That gives NO additional authority to ANYTHING you say.
Yet you continue to peddle it. EVERYTHING you say is to be weighed against the BIBLE which tells us what's of God and what's.... not.

In America, sure. It's got nothing to do with the Bible but everything to do with our independent culture that keeps us FROM it.

What you said doesn't apply globally which pretty much negates the point you were trying to make.

That's the point ducky is making.

"Bible=bad".... only when it agrees with your views.
When you want to prove something with it, suddenly it's good.

You are right that is why the Holy Spirit told me to tell people that no matter who tell them any thing about God they were to ask Jesus if it was right or wrong.

When we read the written Word of God, we are being told something about God. We are to ask Jesus if it is right or wrong, and let him explain it to us.
