The Bible speaks of spiritual warfare in many places, but most directly in Ephesians 6:12, where Paul speaks of putting on the full armor of God: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Spiritual warfare is the Christian concept of fighting against the work of preternatural evil forces. It is based on the biblical belief in evil spirits, or demons, that are said to intervene in human affairs in various ways. Although spiritual warfare is a prominent feature of neo-charismatic churches, various other Christian denominations and groups have also adopted practices rooted in the concepts of spiritual warfare, with Christian demonology often playing a key role in these practices and beliefs.

Though the distinction can be subtle, this thread is not actually about spiritual warfare; it is a focus on verses that discuss the spiritual war between God and Satan for the souls of men. As such, it is not about believers fighting against wicked spirits in high places but about all that God has said and done throughout history to deliver men from the clutches and deceptions of the Devil, and destroy his evil works.
