If we start examining the signs preceding the coming of Jesus, then the words spoken by Jesus himself, in which He referred to the days of Noah and Lot concerning the generation experiencing the coming of Jesus, are a good starting point. He stated that the conditions just before His coming would very much resemble the societies of the time of Noah and Lot, and that before His coming, people would be as unprepared as then; in other words, history would in a way repeat itself.http://koti.phnet.fi/elohim/Lastdays1

You said "people" would be as unprepared as then, but was Christ referring to the whole world being unprepared?, or was He referring to His people; the House of Israel being unprepared?I think the latter.

Interesting site! Thanks for the information."As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains."" (Matthew 24:3-8) Notice Jesus' response, because He gave us the one single event which will mark the beginning of the end of history as we know it. He said that the end of the age will be like a woman who is in labor, because when her labor pains begin then she knows that the baby will soon arrive. First Jesus said that there will be false Messiahs and wars, but He said that these things will continue to happen throughout history because they are not signs of the end of the age. Then He gave us the one significant event which will mark the beginning of the birth pains: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom," and He added that there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All of these together are the beginning of the "birth pains," the beginning of the end of history as we know it.

Wrong verse's about Noah but a right message about Sodom ect. but of course you would learn from them setfree and not recognize the point they are a wrong interptation by man on a the Noah verse's and the rest of your quote ...... here ... "First Jesus said that there will be false Messiahs and wars, but He said that these things will continue to happen throughout history because they are not signs of the end of the age. Then He gave us the one significant event which will mark the beginning of the birth pains: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom," and He added that there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All of these together are the beginning of the "birth pains," the beginning of the end of history as we know it. Well done it the vain a Satan himself just a little twist almost sounds right ...but it isnt. Question What are the signs of the End of this age Answer :1. false Christs 2. war and rumors of wars but the End isnt yet ...there will be more 3. Nation will rise against nation Kingdom against Kingdom ect ect My point being false christ and wars and rumors of wars are just as much a part of the signs as the others listed though you would put them as past and not a part of End time events listed .....But then that's typical .....Change just a little bit here a few words there to make it fit your doctrine. And if you read about these Labor Pains in depth yes they precede a birth but the emphasis is on all these events occurring more closely together and getting stronger and stronger as Labor pains do before a birth . All these things have always occured in history not just the ones you chose to pick out and put in the past ...But its with the closeness and severity they will occur after the End time generations clock starts ticking that matters ..we are to know the season we are to watch thats why this verse goes on to tell of the Parable of the fig Tree which statred the clock in May 1948 ... When you see all these things begin to occur after the season starts (1948) with more regularity coming closely together and getting more severe Know that your delivery is near .... When Christ returns at the 7th and Last trump ....

Well done it the vain a Satan himself just a little twist almost sounds right ...but it isnt. Question What are the signs of the End of this age
This is how Jesus' reply is recorded in Luke's Gospel: ""When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven."" (Luke 21:9-11) Notice in this passage how the statement, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom," is set apart from Jesus' previous statement about wars and revolutions. Luke has inserted the phrase, "Then he said to them," as a break between these two statements, indicating a separation between two thoughts. The statement, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom," is not merely a continuation of Jesus' comment about wars and revolutions, but instead it is a separate thought with a separate meaning. Jesus and the first disciples were Jews who lived in the Middle East in the first century, and Jesus used the Jewish idiom, "Nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom." In those days, that was a form of expression which described a total conflict in whatever area was being discussed. According to Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum: "The key factor then is to find out the meaning of the idiom, "nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." This idiom, taken in the Jewish context of the day when it was spoken, points to a total conflict of the area in view." (The Footsteps of the Messiah, Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, p.63) For example, this same form of expression is used in Isaiah 19:2 to describe a total conflict all over Egypt: "I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian -- brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom." (Isaiah 19:2) This doesn't necessarily mean that every Egyptian or every city or every kingdom in that area was involved in the conflict, but it tells us the scope of the conflict. The same form of expression is used in 2 Chronicles 15:5-6 to describe a total conflict all over "the lands" (the Middle East): "And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in; but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands. And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city" (2 Chronicles 15:5-6, American Standard Version) Again, this doesn't necessarily mean that every person or every city or every nation in that area was involved in the conflict, but it tells us the scope of the conflict. This was a Jewish form of expression which described a total conflict in the area being discussed, whether it was a city or a nation or a region. Jesus used that same idiom, and then He put it into context for us. Notice that as Jesus replied to the disciples' questions in Matthew 24 and 25, He made repeated references to "the whole world" and to "all nations," as in Matthew 24:14: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) Recall that the disciples had asked Jesus what will be the one specific sign that the end of the age has begun. First Jesus said that there will always be wars and revolutions, but they are not the sign of the end. Then He said that there will be a specific type of war, and this war will be the one sign to watch for to know that the end of the age has begun. Based on the first-century Jewish idiom that Jesus used, and based on the context that He gave us for this idiom, that specific type of war is a world war, which will be accompanied by earthquakes, pestilence, and famine (Matthew 24:3-8 and Luke 21:9-11, above). Again, this doesn't necessarily mean that every person or every country in the world will be involved in the conflict, but it tells us the scope of the conflict. So Jesus said that when a world war takes place, accompanied by earthquakes, pestilence, and famine, this will be the specific sign which tells us that the end of history has begun.

There will be seven things that shall take place, and those will be the signs and events for us to watch out for in our lifetime. Seven is the Number for spritual completness These will be things that we read in the papers, and see on our television sets. Each of these seven signs are the seven seals that Jesus gave us through the pen of John in Revelation chapters 8, and 9. These are also the seven trumpets that are given in the book of Revelation and we are to learn these thing so we cannot be deceived. Though the seven seals are not given in order, the seven trumpets are sounded in order. So by the time one ends these chapters, in Mark 13 Luke 21, Mathew 24 one should know what the seven seals and the seven trumpets signify. Why is this so important to us today? Because we are living in the generation that shall see Satan and his fallen angels coming to earth at the sixth trump, and God doesn't want His children to be deceive by Satan's supernatural powers, deceptions, and his lying tongue. There will be a flood of lies that shall cover the entire earth, and most Christians will be take in by them. Why? Their traditions and false doctrines will lead them right to Satan. We will see the events that will consummate the end of this earth age of man living in the flesh. Now Jesus is going to tell us When it will be, How will it happen, Where will His coming be, and Jesus expects each of us to pay attention.Luke 21:7 "And they asked Him, saying, "Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?" Luke 21:7 "And they asked Him, saying, "Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?" The disciples are asking Jesus this question while they were standing in the Temple. Remember that Jesus had just told them that this beautiful temple they were in was going to be laid flat, and the stones crushed. Again, they had time to think on these matters while walking out of the temple, down through the valley and up on the mount of Olives. They wanted to know the events that would bring it all to an end.Luke 21:8 "And He said, "Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in My name saying, `I am Christ;' and the time draweth near": go ye not therefore after them."This is one of the pit falls we have today, for many come claiming to have that answer, but what do they preach? false doctrine and the traditions of men. It is time to get into the Word, and Jesus is warning you and I here; "Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in My name". Those false ministries will look so good, sing all the beautiful songs, call themselves by names common to Christians, and claim themselves to be called and preachers of God. They will say, "I am Christ's teacher", but by their own words they show themselves to be are false teachers. Jesus is telling you not to go near them. If they are teaching you things that go against God's Word, they are not of Christ, but of the devil. Are they teaching you all of the Word, and preparing you for the time we are living in, or teaching you to grow in your spiritual life to be a big spiritual baby. The milk of the Word is necessary in becoming a Christian, but you don't grow up to prepare yourself to stand against Satan by staying on a spiritual milk diet. It takes a chapter by chapter study of all the Word, to prepare you with the meat of the Word for our end times. If anyone tells you to leave out any of the Scriptures, run from that man, for Jesus came to fulfill all the Word, and not change one letter of the law.You will be here to see Satan and his fallen angels come to this earth just as Jesus told us in Revelation 12:7-9. If you hear someone tell you that you won't don't give him ear to his words. Jesus is warning us living today to be aware of these people. Some of our people knew that there was more to God's Word than what was taught in our churches. Jesus gave us these seven signs leading to His second advent, and this goes against some of the doctrines of men today. So as you study the rest of this chapter, ask yourself, should I take the words of Christ, or some man made doctrine? This is why Jesus warned us, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Any preacher that says he comes in the name of Christ, if his message goes against what is stated in this chapter, he is a liar and deceiver, and not the Christian that he claims to be.Today many churches teach a rapture doctrine, that God is going to fly Christians out of this earth before Satan comes to deceive the entire earth. The book of Revelation allows us to see clearly that Satan will come first, and that we are to wake up and pay attention to these events, so we will not be so ignorant as to chase after Satan upon his arrival to Jerusalem. Satan is coming first, and the things that he says and does will be much like what people expect Christ to be like at His coming. If you believe that you are not going to see Satan, but that you will fly out, you will be deceived.Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Luke 21:9 "But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by." When wars and unrest are going on around the world, don't get anxious, for Jesus is telling us that those things will happen before His coming. As long as there is a war in Afghanistan, or any place in the world, and there is unrest in the middle east, Africa, Northern Ireland and so on, the end is not immediately. In other words, if all you hear is peace, peace, and all efforts are bound up in peace talks and agreement, the watch out. All we hear today is the struggle to bring the difference sides to the peace table, and that is all that has been happening since the New World Order came to power. When we look at those different small wars, they are all fought over religion. In the middle east, between Judaism and Islam; in Northern Ireland, Catholics and Protestants; in Afghanistan, Islam and Christians; In India, Hinduism and Islam; and on it goes. Solve the religious problem and you set the world at peace. So how can that come to pass? With the coming of a one world religious order; the world political system would end and a religious order taking its place.Luke 21:10 "Then said He unto them, "Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:"These problems and wars will continue until the something or someone comes to bring that world peace.Antichrist (Satan) Daniel 11:21 "And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceable, and obtain the kingdom by flattery's." This is not a system, but a person. When the Antichrist (Satan) comes, there will be no war. He will come as a man of peace and prosperity. Daniel 11:24 "He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: year, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time." 1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. When does one feel safe and see Peace when they falsley believe christ is here but it is the Antichrist (Satan) Luke 21:11 "And great earthquakes shall be in divers placers, and famines, and pestilence; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven."Luke 21:12 "But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake."The Elect will put on trial first (Mark 13) because the false prophet Antichrist comes first Just as verse 18 says so do not believe anyone who says differnt. Luke 21:13 "And it shall turn to you for a testimony."Rev. 6:9 .... Mark 13:11 ... Luke 12:11, 12

Again you ridicule without showing where I perverted.....In 1914-1918, the first-ever world war took place, and it was accompanied by major earthquakes, pestilence, and famine, just as Jesus had prophesied. Many historians agree that World War II was essentially a continuation of World War I (see for example the Encyclopedia Britannica and World War II, Part I ). Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia describes a number of treaty disputes and territorial wars which broke out after WWI as various countries tried to benefit from the unstable world situation. This continued until Hitler came into power and began aggressive acts which led up to the invasion of Poland and the beginning of WWII. So WWII was really a continuation of the disputes which were left unsettled by WWI, according to historians. After WWI, a U.S. Senator gave a speech in which he said: "The late war cost seven million lives . . . It has destroyed hundreds of towns . . . it has brought in its train . . . pestilence and famine." (from the American Library of Congress ). In between these world wars there was a pestilence which killed between 20 and 40 million people worldwide in 1918-1919 (see The Influenza Pandemic of 1918 ), there was the great Chinese famine of 1920 (mentioned in the History of the American Red Cross ), there was an 8.6 earthquake in China in 1920 (see the Most Destructive Known Earthquakes on Record in the World ), there was the Russian famine of 1920-1923 (mentioned in the Russian Archives at the American Library of Congress ), there was an 8.3 earthquake in Japan in 1923 (see the Most Destructive Known Earthquakes on Record in the World ), there was another 8.3 earthquake in China in 1927 (see the Most Destructive Known Earthquakes on Record in the World ), and so on. Also, it appears that the worldwide AIDS epidemic can be traced back to the time period of WWI / WWII. The results of a study presented at the 7th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections in January, 2000, suggested that the first case of human HIV infection occurred around 1930, which was during the period between WWI and WWII (see The Origins of AIDS and HIV ). This study has a 20-year margin of error, which encompasses the entire time period from the beginning of WWI to the ending of WWII. A number of prophecy teachers have said that deadly earthquake activity has been on a strong increase since WWI, but the data from the U.S. Geological Survey does not support this (see The U.S. Geological Survey , and see the official USGS answer to the question, "Has earthquake activity been increasing?" ). What many prophecy teachers seem to have overlooked is that Jesus said that there will be earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places (see Matthew 24:3-8 and Luke 21:9-11, above), but Jesus never specifically said that earthquake activity will continually increase. Now, when a woman goes into labor, it might last a few minutes, or several hours, or even longer. That's the human timeframe for labor. In God's timeframe, we really don't know how long the "birth pains" (as Jesus called them) will last. But the "birth pains" have begun. We're in "labor" right now. We're in "the end of the age," and we have been in the end of the age since about 1914. History as we know it is drawing to a close. Jesus is returning soon! Are you ready?

John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.Matthew 24:29-30 - Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.Mark 13:24-26 - But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.I Corinthians 15:50-52 - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.I Thessalonians 4:16-17 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.Reference: Hebrews 12:1 and the fact the word air in I Thessalonians 4:17 is better translated spirit.

The delusion of the End times is on the Whole World it is the time of harvest for the World not just some
That's a good way to put it. There's a Punk band named Rancid. They have a song in which some of the lyrics are, "The ending isn't here, but it's commin real soon. The feeling isn't fear, it's just tellin you to move!" I thought it was interesting that even those that aren't believers and saved seem to have a "feeling" of urgency of a short time left.

You said "people" would be as unprepared as then, but was Christ referring to the whole world being unprepared?, or was He referring to His people; the House of Israel being unprepared?I think the latter.
Just the opposite it is the wicked that will be caught unprepared, the righteous will be ready just like in Noah's day. Noah and his family knew the flood was coming, the wicked did not.

Now that I've thought about this, "Wars and rumors of wars....." We all forget something very simple this goes into the rest of the prophesy posts."For when they say Peace and Safety total destruction is sure to come." Begining of birth pains, is just that, it's a sign but it's just the beginning. Many things must take place. To put it simply, wars will happen, that's the nature of things, and that's also God developing the chess pieces to corner the opposing, "king" for checkmate.I'm not worried about nuclear war, (just yet), we'll see when the nations rise against israel later. However, I'm only worried when they tell me, "It's all okay now, relax, see we've done away with weapons, we've got treaties, and monies. Here have a donut on the house buddy" I'll be alarmed then. But, as stated in another post, I will "Keep watch"
